LG Case Study: Human-centered, Energy-efficient Design with VRF and Heat Recovery

KBSO Consulting (KBSO) is a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology (MEPT) design firm based in Carmel, Indiana. By applying a human-centered approach to engineering, KBSO designs sustainable, technologically advanced commercial and institutional buildings customized for local cultures, climates, economies, and people. When KBSO had outgrown its leased office space and needed to relocate, the principals found available land down the street from the old office and collaborated with Studio M Architecture (Studio M) to purchase the property and design a building the two firms co-own.
As part of the design, the company knew it needed an HVAC solution that echoed the core values it held as a firm. Working with Indianapolis-based LG representative Envelop Group, the KBSO team selected LG’s VRF technology to not only honor these core values but also provide flexibility, energy efficiency, and comfort.
