The user manual says that Heavy Duty can take up to 2 hrs 11. That would be with a large load and Heavy soil level set probably.

How exactly is it displaying the RPMs?

If I remember correctly, hold down the delay wash and spin speed buttons at the same time to display RPMs. You can also see the current water temp by pushing delay wash + temp buttons.
