Recipe pages might be structured like that for copyright reason, but as far as I know, the most important reason is to make sure that as you scroll down to find the recipe, they’re able to serve the max number of display ads. Registering those additional impressions goes a long way.

I love to bake and always hated scrolling through online recipies. The Mela app has the greatest feature to get around this. The browser in the app scrubs the website for the recipe and lets you save it

The LG briefcase TV is lowkey amazing. It's like a better "sit around the laptop" experience in every way. Heck, maybe you can actually use it as a portable second display for your laptop (I dont know if it has HDMI/DP or if the wireless is fast enough). This seems like almost mandatory packing for family vacations.

Yes the recipes by themselves are not protected by copyright but a story associated with the recipe is copyrightable. So these website (and cookbooks) will add stories so that no one can just copy the entire thing. You can copy and share the recipe itself.

A couple notes, Firstly on the subject of not using your ISP's router, this is possible. Although most ISP's will restrict access using mac address filtering. So you may have to spoof your modem/router's mac address. On the subject of fiber networks being unground, actually most fibers in Canada are installed in the air due to cost. As far as network shortage, again like Marques said, as long as the receiving end has power, you will still remain connected on the internet.

IDK why people always cringe at a vertical screen. I get it, but this one makes so much sense. could be useful for social media marketers. The power outage cellular option and 4 hr battery backup would be huge down in the southeastern US. In the summer we get so many thunderstorms and heavy downpour. We lose power every 2 weeks in peak summer, and it’s like a 50/50 whether it’s for 5 minutes of 4-6 hours. And I need internet to work at home. Right now I rely on my laptop batteries and cellular hotspot.

I was thinking the same thing about charging to 100%. In theory, you should be able to charge to the reduced "100%" state, and technically the cells not actually being at 100% would help ensure battery longevity. I still don't like software locking, but I wouldn't be surprised if other manufacturers adopt this strategy to incentivise people to buy a new EV and, glass half full, also have the benefits of extending battery longevity.

The real issue with the software limitation on batteries is the fact that it likely means there is something that's holding you back from manually unlocking the extra battery. I don't mind the fact that a car that I buy might come with some kind of software limitation, but I care deeply about the implication that I wouldn't actually be able to do anything about that.

I think the access to the battery thing also feels worse (along with it being a lock-out rather than an evolving feature) because you might not have paid for the extra/locked-out battery, but you're paying every day you drive the thing to lug around a huge chunk of weight that if you didn't have it in there would mean the car was more efficient.

The Fold is great in that it steers you into using the big display. Everything is better with a full screen. At one point I started wishing they would do away with the outer display entirely to bring down cost and super charge battery life. But then my outer display went down (my fault) and had to use my insurance. While I waited for the replacement phone I used the phone with only the main display and instantly missed the front screen. It's perfect for notifications, quickly reading texts and emails and changing songs and podcasts. Really it's pointless to pass up the main display for frequent tasks. It's sort of like going to formal event where the front screen is the cocktail hour and opening the main display is opening into the concert hall. 😅

I just wanted to comment on David's thought process, that, I do not think YT music uploads one audio file for both the video and audio. Yes, the switch is seamless but I think it is just timing. To prove this, "21 Savage - A Lot" audio on streaming platforms is different from the video, the video has one extra verse, only in the video. You can check for yourself and try switching towards the end to see what happens, that "seamless switch" is thrown out the window.

I think the only problem with software locks is the potential for someone to lock you out of features you have purchased or being stuck in a situation where you cannot upgrade. I think the battery upgrade makes a lot of sense as having more inaccessible battery could potentially prolong the life of the battery. As for not getting what you paid for, I agree that you haven't paid for it. If it's cheaper for them to make one car with software locks, they can use that for a balance of profit and affordability. Obviously if everyone got the full product for the cheapest price no one would pay extra; their overall profits would suffer, and they would charge more money for the 'base' price; less people would by the car; the less efficient production would be; the more expensive production would be; the more they would charge.

The current Fisker company is not the same one as the one that made the Karma. Same CEO, bit the old company got bought up and Henrik Fisker founded this new Fisker brand. The Ocean is being build by Magna in Austria. There are already some delivered to customers in Europe. From first videos they seem ok, but software seems to be a mess RN. All of the other cars are more or less far away
