Excellent video. I'd like to add one point regarding direct drive technology used in LG washing machines. Since the motor is directly mounted to the drum, the weight of the motor is borne by the bearings that hold the motor to the drum and can reduce the lifespan of the bearings from what I've heard. If possible, I'd like to see a long term review of the washing machine, maybe a few years down the line as to how well the bearings in the drive technology in LG washing machine holds up compared to belt drive of other brands because practically speaking, it's easier to replace the belt than to replace those bearings because you'll have to remove the whole drum and motor assembly.

I bought the same model and size is 7kg and I have been using it for more than 2 weeks. It's absolutely soundless for me and works very well. one thing to note, keep it in a little dark area or away from sun light if you want to see numbers and lights on the screen in the day time else it's a little difficult to see in the day time.

What is your opinion about whirlpool front load washing machine. I have a top loading whirlpool machine which is almost 18 years old and still in good working condition except for the sound. Whirlpool machines are good as long as they aren't touched by technicians because Whirlpool India lacks in after sales sevice, otherwise their machines are good enough. LG is best amongst all so I'd suggest this brand over others.

Well we cannot adjust the timing at all because machine automatically senses load and calculates total time based on mode and features selected for a wash cycle. Baby care mode takes longer because it is meant to clean soiled clothes and it works really well because of steam cycle but as a result it will consume considerable electricity and there is little we can do to reduce its power consumption or duration.

The model you quoted has no issues however Samsung comes close second while LG leads in washing machine due to their build quality and after-sales service. Samsung only has flaws in their top loading machines not front loaders.

This is more indepth that any other indepth reviews I've watched on youtube. Amazing video bro I've few questions as i found this video while doing research of which machine to buy this year. I was ready to go with IFB 9kg but read some user reviews how every few months that requires some kind of service. As you've used IFB too can you please tell me your thoughts on this vs ifb machine? how's the wash quality similar or better? As it's now 1+ year have you had any issues with this or it's still working perfectly?

IFB machines do require regular maintenance, like the Señorita SX I used earlier needed bearing replacement multiple times, until I got them replaced by SKF branded bearings which are working well till date so it can be said that IFB uses cheap quality bearings in their machines. Motherboard and door lock was also replaced during warranty period because machine kept on showing TCL error. Washing quality was good initially but in case bearings develop a play and machine gets noisier as a result washing quality deteriorates so regular maintenance is important. Regarding LG machines, my experience has been really good as till date this machine has not required any servicing. LG has performed far better than IFB in all aspects but yes it is a bit pricier as well. Bosch has issues in spare part availability and Samsung machines are not well designed.

Avoid Godrej. Samsung offers mediocre performance and is prone to frequent repairs although repair bills are manageable. LG is best in performance and reliability. You can choose Samsung too in case your budget is low.

LG makes excellent top load machines as well. Just avoid Samsung top loading machines until their stupid roller design is changed. Top loading machine wear out clothes sooner than front loads. If your clothes are expensive, want better washing quality and have excess budget, choose a front load, but if your clothes are relatively durable and want something in tighter budget, go for top load. Both front and top loading machines from LG are reliable and equally durable.

Mine is still working well, same as day 1! I'll suggest LG and Bosch, because these brands are pretty good at building front load machines. I stay away from Samsung due to my last bad experience with their top load machine. In 40k, I'll suggest you the same model I bought which retails for 35k at present. I didn't require fancy WiFi features so chose this model, and I'll leave that totally upto you to decide. WiFi functionality is more helpful in air conditioners, but in case of washing machines when you have to manually put the clothes, WiFi functionality is just an extra add-on and not necessary at all in my opinion.

8 kg washer feels perfect for my family of 3. Keep in mind it is the color of clothes and how frequently one washes them that matters more rather than just the number of members in a family because in my case we use white bedsheets and hand towels which need frequent washing compared to darker colors used commonly by people. Similarly regularly changing clothes in winters can also increase wash load considerably when drying clothes becomes a task in itself due to foggy weather and lack of sunlight even during the day. 7 kg version is a minimum you should choose for a family of 4 and I'd suggest to instead opt for 8 kg version in case your wash loads are larger or more frequent as I mentioned above.

3 years mein machine change karna is not right in my opinion, be it economically or environmentally. Machine exchange karoge toh zyaada value nahi milegi so at least 5 years tak chalalo then exchange karne mein sahi rahega, waise bhi Amazon ya OLX buyer purane machine ke zyaada paise nahi dega. Regarding washing quality, front load ka comparison nahi hai top load se, tumble wash is a superior method as it consumes less water and detergent and clothes zyaada ache se saaf hote hai. Front load machines aise washing nahi kar sakti. Reliability bhi same hai dono machines mein, bas price difference rehta hai.

I recommend Tide as it offers very good quality detergents at an affordable price and doesn't fade colored clothes like some other brands do. Between liquid and powder detergent, most of my relatives and friends use powder detergent even in front load washers and their machines have been running totally well so you can use powdered detergents in front loaders too, but for best performance liquid detergent is better because it is specifically meant for front loading machines. There is a cost difference between the two however so its choice mostly depends on whether a person wants to spend extra for liquid detergent or not. Using a good quality branded detergent and timely running cleaning cycle in your machine will prevent drum corrosion from suds, fibers and as a result washing machine will last long too.

I recommend Surf matic powder for front load. For delayed washes on a timer, powder is the only option. Also if you want to use the prewash option as liquid will just run into the machine and get wasted during the prewash stage. You can get Surf in 6kg packs to keep costs down.

Regarding availability of a few models, it is just the model number that is different for offline or online markets, otherwise rest of the features remain more or less the same so this doesn't affect purchase decision at all. In rural areas finding shops that have the particular model can be difficult so buying online is better. Just make sure you inspect the machine thoroughly for any damages before giving OTP to the delivery agents.

Front loading washing machines do not damage clothes in any manner and same is true for this LG washer as well, so be it Bosch or LG both work equally well. Machine is still performing well and life of clothes has increased if I compare with the older top loader I had.

You can use normal detergent too. However for best performance front load compatible detergent is better but it is pretty costly as compared to normal detergent. Samsung machines have got a lot of gimmicks which aren't of practical use while LG offers pretty much enough that is needed but yes compared to Samsung, LG is a bit costlier because of the performance and reliability it offers compared to other brands.

LG is better because Bosch sometimes takes too long for providing spare parts which may not be readily available, otherwise both brands are good. LG is best in performance and service quality.

Yes you can use 10 feet long extension for drain and water supply. Just keep drain pipe close to the floor as low as possible and properly support supply pipe with cable clips to relieve stress on the inlet socket of the machine.

I have used all types of washing machine whether it is TOP, FRONT OR semi Automatic. I would like to tell you my opinion that semi automatic is the best washing. machine. Ye aapke pocket ko bhi suit karti hai. Fully automatic washing machine ki life 5 years only.

Not true, my last IFB front load fully automatic is still working well and this LG front load fully automatic will also last much longer than 5 years. Semi automatic is only beneficial in case someone wants to reuse detergent for washing severely batches of clothes, which nowadays is impractical and not to mention that clothes don't get cleaned well by this way either. Detergent once added to water is meant to be used only once, not multiple times, otherwise washing quality suffers, that's why fully automatic offer much better cleaning performance, albeit at a slightly higher price and running cost compared to semi automatics.

Is it safe to keep washing maching in bathroom? Installation guy was saying not to keep it there due to moisture which can cause issues in future. Let me know if this is correct or not in case of front load machine. I too have same lg white color model 7kg capacity.

He is correct because bathroom is too humid and not ideal for placing a washing machine, though many people keep washers in bathroom because of limited flat space. Keeping washing machine in balcony is also not ideal because of sunlight. If you really do not have any place, you can keep machine in the bathroom given that it does not get wet, otherwise body will start rusting sooner or later.

This step is very important to avoid mould from growing which will shorten the machine life. My machine is in the bathroom but I don't take a bath there

At least two to three times or more depending on mode selected. You can rinse clothe after wash cycle is finishesd by selected rinse mode but cannot modify the rinse times in the wash cycle.

Some machine need specific pressure from tap to work otherwise have to use water pressure pump to increase the pressure of water any issues or limits regarding this Lastly Bosch is considered best in washing machine like noise, vibration,idos system wash quality and fabric care what is your thoughts on this? LG has not specified any TDS rating for their washers so we can assume that this model is not meant to be used in areas with high TDS without using water softener. However a dedicated compartment has been provided for adding water softener so it should not be much of an issue since all internal components in washing machines are of steel or aluminum which do not rust but can corrode in longer duration if hard water is used without softener. IFB machines also have aluminum spider and stainless steel drum just like LG, Samsung and Bosch so I doubt if they have specially coated their internal components with a protective layer to prevent corrosion, but since I haven't not personally checked their latest washers I cannot comment on this. I have not seen any water inlet pump in any of the washer till date, so yes you do need adequate tap water pressure to actuate water inlet solenoid valves properly. Even if you are living on the top floor with tank located on the rooftop, most washer should work fine, but yes they will take a bit more time to get filled with water. Front loaders consume minimal water so this does not effect washing duration at all. Bosch has got good built quality, but their service is still not as good as LG as per my research though I have not bought it myself. I prefer reliable service and affordable spare part rates that's why I prefer better selling brands though I do accept that Bosch and many less selling brands may offer a lot more features, just like cars. I used to believe that water with a high TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) content might not clean clothes effectively. In the past, it was often said that hard water, with its high mineral content, was less effective for washing, whereas soft water led to quicker and more efficient washing with less detergent.but as you said hard water is not good for internal components in the long run and it does not affect wash quality in any way or detergent consumption. I also tend to focus on essential features when making appliance purchases, such as washing machine wash quality low noise & vibration built quality and durability. These aspects are important and once you make a purchase, they can't be changed. I learned about Bosch appliances from a KZbin channel named best appliances information and the host highly praised Bosch for its washing quality, minimal vibrations, built quality and the quality of its internal components, including the i-DOS system.

1. Bilkul kar sakte hai, but sirf RPM hi change kar sakte ho, time duration nahi change hoti. 2. Door lock power cut ke kuch minutes baad unlock ho jaata hai. Agar machine mein paani hai toh drain ka plug nikalke paani nikalke hi door kholna nahi toh saara paani bahar nikal aa jayega (drainage clean karna dikhaya hai maine video mein, usi se pehle ek pipe se paani bhi nikala hai).
