LG G3 vs. LG G2 - Which Is Faster?

I just got a G2, unlocked ATT version, and love it. I chose it after considering a Moto X 2014 and found a tech magazine article touting the praises of the now 1 yr old G2 in comparison to the new Moto X. I will say that the bloatware from ATT is frustrating and in protest of bloatware in general, my next unlocked phone will not a carrier-issued model, regardless of the company. BTW- I use Cricket Wireless here in the USA and pay $35/mo for 1 GB of fast 4G LTE and am very happy with them as my carrier...so far.

Of course people want to see your videos, me too. I watch most of them. But when I read speed test I expect speed tests, not booting tests. You really can't say which phone is faster only because of booting, what you only have to do once in a while. Otherwise Nokia 3310 would be the fastest phone of all, forever ;)

I am on your video, because I just did a side-by-side comparison of the g3, and the g2 myself. Both were running identical aosP roms. The G2 blew the g3 away in every app I was opening. It was significantly faster! I am baffled and was wondering when others results were. I don't understand how, because the g3 has better spec.

It's very good indeed but over 2 years after camera broken takes pictures blurry, microphone doesn't work quite well, 1-2 cracks in case.. I didn't even drop it. It was always in protection case. But still it's best phone for price / performance

People claim the g3 is so great but in reality, its just hyped. The specs are really identical in every way. Only difference is software LOOK (still bloated, if not more), and phone LOOK. And a few minor differences like removable battery.

For instants the galaxy s3 runs and operates just fine and is still a decent smartphone. The human eye can only notice a difference if you put both phones side by side and look at them. If youre familiar with custom roms, you can install G3 rom which has identical UI and most of the fancy features. I'm currently using one and it works well.

I just got g2 3 nights ago and seems decent but was wondering if should just go for the g3. I finally got this rooted in the 4 hours of first having after working through some things. I only kind of considered g3 due to Battery removal and inside goodies... always appreciated that. I guess selling my note 2 but always been satisfied with that phone there. mainlymusicman because the g3 screen is a peace of trash, it lags, and the brightness is one of the lowest on any phone. The g2 gets much brighter:)

I upgraded from a g2 to the g3 and the g3 is crap compared to it I assume it's because the larger screen and more gimmicky features running but my g2 is way faster at everything I thought something was wrong with my g3 so i went into a best buy and a sprint store and held them side by side and did simple things like open youtube and just slide quickly threw the apps and the g3 lags terribly compared to the g2 seems impossible being that it has a newer slighlty faster processor but it's the truth the g3 is slower than the g2 and if you disagree your in denial or you never owned a g2

I agree 100%. I upgraded to a g3 from a g2 and the difference is night and day. When i picked up my g2 again after a couple months with the g3 I was super impressed and actually switched back to the g2 with no complaints... But then I dropped my g2 the next day with no case and the screen shattered. Back to the g3 for me lol

that would be due to the first gen software issues. Cmon, everyone should know by now, that the first run of any product, the "I got it when it came out" people are the guinea pigs testing out bloat, and potential incompatibilities. Then as always, the Os will patch some minute increment of a numeral, to like, +0.02 higher than it was. It will have ironed out most of the bugs people soiled their diapers over. But at the same time introduced a new wave of bugs and errors, because during that test time period, the other makers and devs have released their, conveniently timed, answer to your product. And the cycle goes on and on and on. And makes for a sad spectacle for the likes of people like me to sit and watch people make something so detrimental to humanity in general, one of the most not at all but it sure does seem like, most important things of their lives. (Thats the Mighty PCs job! assholes abandoning your roots :P) I will tell you what I want, and you guys could debate on that speed test. ATM I have a G2 .wG3 ROM @ 3.0GHz X 4 & GPU @675MHz. I would love to buy a G3 and throw the G2's OEM ROM or a as close as we can get variant, that would still allow use of the new hardware upgrades over the G2. Like the insane screen for starters. Pound for pound, my moneys on the G3 on the ROM on a diet. The G2 would have to fight against it Pushing weight too. It would have to rock the G3s OEM ROM. Then and only then we would get a true example of which is fastest. (for now) its G4 time soon. The Sameshit Godhatesme S6 is due in March I hear. With last minute CPU ditch and replace for a in house developed unit. I just love how stupid Sameshit is when it comes to their phones. Sayyro I let my g2 update to lolipop, then I rooted it, then installed custom recovery. I then put the cloudy rom 2.2 on it which is the g3 rom debloaded. The g2 runs the g3's rom better then the g3 haha

hahhaahahahahah Of course it's faster!!! you're lg g3 filled with games, i saw 3 GTA on home page, on the other hand, lg g2 has one application installed, my LG G3 is faster than both your phone. I do not like phones for games and applications but for performance and quality. you can compare phones only when you bring them from the store and test them immediately :) my opinion no hard feelings ;)
