I love this phone! It's so different from the rest. Other phones are so generic to me, because they follow each other. This phone reminds me of the robot in the "short circuit" movie, I love the design. It's simple, and that is what I like Besides the specs, most phones are damn near the same. I understand why a lot don't like the phone, most people don't like something different, until it becomes popular or someone famous promotes a product. Again, I LOVE this phone Great review!

Just brought this phone in 2021. You can upgrade the battery to 5700 mah battery for $15 off Aliexpress. Personally, I'm downgrading to this phone because it has all 3 - a headphone jack, a microSD Card slot, and a upgradable/removable battery (extremely rare to find these days). It also has decent midrange specs SD820 and Aderno 530 (although outdated) but it is enough to play most games on medium to high settings. Hope this helps.

Bought one of these when it first came out as my first try at an android phone. It actually had a lot of cool features compared to other phones at the time which was the selling point for me but i struggled getting used to the OS so i traded it in for an iPhone 6s after 2 weeks.

+Ms. Chanandler Bong I think it's a good phone, I don't hate it, but for me its quality issues prevent me from making a recommendation and I don't find enough value in the modularity to overcome it's shortcomings, especially the display quality. Ultimately this is a flagship phone with flagship pricing and I would have returned this if I didn't need it for review purposes. This is allot of money to spend on an imperfect phone. I can certainly imagine they'll sort out the manufacturing bugs and we can focus more on the phone, but for now I can't ignore them.

could you not make any phone modular? after all they all have USB connections. what stops a company configuring a module that lets you take pictures or add a speaker for the Galaxy S7? and just make it look like the G5 module by extending round the back... and throw in a battery pack for extra

Excellent review Mike but the DAC is not coming to North America and also you're the only KZbinr that says that the quick Action Memo and the quick action for the camera are still there everyone else says now the buttons are no longer in the back features are gone
