G8 have AMOLED or OLED screen (doesn't matter which exactly cuz of blinking effect) I found such type of screen very bad for my eyes at least. The people on forums many times said the same thing. So you need to found this out before buying xLED. I have Mi 8 now and selling it for G7.

Unfortunately everyone hypes up Samsung phones and iPhone way too much, making them seem like god sent gifts from heaven, and everything else that is actually good is a piece of trash, I used to have a Samsung galaxy S8 and it was a regret, LG is good at making phones but are even better in every other field especially TV's and Monitors, but everyone knows that the second Samsung or Apple decides to make TV's everyone is gonna buy one just because they're big brands, not because of actual quality

My friend, both of their cameras are pretty bad compared to the Huawei P30 Pro.... So I really advice you to take the LG G8 for the price and speed, or the Huawei if you want the speed, the cam, and dont mind about the screen only FHD+.... Also the Huawei is cheaper than this super overrated S10

G8 has higher contrast in video but loses alot of detail in the darker areas whereas the S10 plus tries to brighten up those areas a bit. To me it's just a matter of which is more important to you color accuracy or detail.

Default mode in lg is very saturated while default mode on s10plus is very accurate. If you want vibrant colors put the s10 in adaptive mode, you will get saturated vibrant colors. But be aware that true colors are not saturated, but I know people love saturated colors more than true accurate colors. Samsung used to ship their phone with adaptive mode by default for the "wow" effect when the phone is exposed in stores, don't know why they changed it, they should know average customer still doesn't care about accuracy, the average customer wants saturated colors.

Is the G8 worth it? I've had the LG G2 and the G4 and I always had better camera quality than my friends with iPhones and Galaxies. But the G2 had its issue where 1/3 of the screen stopped working and the G4 had its issue where the stupid thing would constantly overheat and it had a design flaw where a soldered element would come undone and the thing would go into constant boot loop. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the G2 and G4 while they worked. Did anyone have similar problems with the G6 or G8 so far? I want to get the G8, but with two lemons, I'm nervous to continue supporting a company that keeps fucking up even though the phones are dope before they get messed up. Thoughts?

Im still using LG G4 & i have to agree with u that g4 gets heat up real fast & it's annoying. But other than that, i think g4 is ok. While both phones have their strengths and weaknesses, i can't help but notice the fact that the colours and white balance look more accurate on the s10's display than they do on the g8's, geekbench's blue colour is definitely not as blue as the g8 presents it, the s10's blue though looks on point, the reds on the g8's display are slightly better than on the s10's display, but the whites are a little bit off.

That’s white balance which can be tuned in settings. Also it will vary between models like I’ve seen on many OLEDs. Some are warm and others are cool.

You shouldn't tout the tech behind the ultrasonic finger print sensor, it's slow yes but at some point in the past regular fp scanners were slow too, we need tech companies to continue to innovate otherwise we'd just be stuck, to be fair the g8 hand unlock isn't all that fast either

You cant compare s10+. LG version is V models. I am doing the same thing when it comes to update my phone. I got v40 for a bigger screen. So thats why v models should be against s+ models. In my opinion even doh samsung had more RAMs in some of the cases LG was a bit faster. Actualy they were toe to toe. Sound is hard to compare on the video because LG has boom box option. So for the next compare try to go away lil bit further to see how the sound from the speakers of both phones will fill the room. LG won because it was way crisp. Cameras identical. At nightscene Samsung adding more backlight which is good. Why identical - aperture on lg is better but less MP. I dont know on Samsung but on LG manual is awesome fiture.

At moment of writing this, the Samsung with more horsepower beats the LG in general, but at the end, the differences are not that big. LG beats Samsung quite a few times inc. the price in positive way. Used to have both brands, and i will go back to LG as it is more user friendly for me.

The Samsung may be a bit quicker albeit has a larger RAM but already had to knock the Sony out as all the things they did once that were considered decent became blah and an expensive blah and am on a budget - they also took the headphone jack out!!!
