Hi, great repair video. Please can you answer a question on this TV. I have one and the top 9 “ goes dark and has horizontal lines going across. What could be the fault and is it repairable? Cheers in anticipation.

Would you be so kind as to list the replaced electronic components in writing? I don't speak English so I don't understand your video but I do write perfectly.

Could I suggest you try mounting your camera on a tripod or similar, please? The constant movement of hand held makes it difficult to watch in general. Notwithstanding, your approach and problem solving is very good. BTW....I have been repairing TV's etc for forty years. I've never used a mains isolation transformer either. Been kicked a few times, too. I know it is now required for OH&S reasons, but common sense can and should still prevail.

Cheers also I need to get a tripod but dont see the point atm, you get the idea of the repair thats all that matters. I will get one soon mate.

I used to work in a TV shop and never used an isolation transformer until I bought an Oscilloscope. I almost blew up my scope one day, I spent some $3200 on a new Sencore scope and forgot to plug my tv into the isolation transformer/

Do you have a video that shows how you test the transistors your showing at 11:49 ? If not will you make a video that shows how you test the different things on the board ?

Thank you for sharing this video! It was a great help! By the way, how did you test the capacitors at 18:07 to see which one was bad and which one was ok. I always thought you can't test capacitors on the circuit and those capacitors are not easy to take them off the board. I really want to know. Thanks.

Hi, I have slight green dots on white backgrounds. Do you have any idea what to do? I've seen others says I can adjust some dials. If so which of the 4 knobs for turning... VSCAN, Set_DN1, DD_Var and Set_up1.Thanks in advance.

Someone in my building just threw away one of these TV's, most certainly because it had the red haze problem. Chucking a few quid at it might fix it, so I think I'll give this a try!

Good video. I don't use an iso transformer either but I should, more to protect my scope than myself lol (well both). Maybe I'll spring for one of those fancy isolation/variac combo units some day. This stuff ain't cheap though.
@MrReeceyburger1238 жыл бұрын
Cheers, also yes you should always use an iso when scoping a plasma especially lol but personally if just testing with a dmm no need.
@brig.43988 жыл бұрын
well you can blow up your scope if you don't I blew the fuse on my $3200 Sencore scope one day because I didn't use the isolation transformer.
@Sloxx7018 жыл бұрын
Bri G. Be thankful you just blew the fuse I guess!

Cheaper to buy a new board on ebay than buy the caps etc to repair the boards you can get a whole second user board for £10 Was going to fix my LGPK590 Plasma common yellow red haze of death by replacing the 240v 120uf caps on they-sus board but it was going to cost me over £20 not to mention the hassle of removing and replacing got the replacement board on ebay for £11 including postage and fixed problem first time! Xsus ysus they are all cheap the only boards that are expensive are the power board and the i/o boards!
