Every time I switch my tv off the optical stops working. I can either have it on, optical+tv or I have to switch every time I turn my tv on from optical -hdmi - optical to get sound back

Fixed it by setting optical to Auto 🤷‍♂️

I have a TCL 98Q651G, I can get sound out of my optical connected sound bar but when I try to adjust volume all I get despite all efforts is, Audio output through optical fibers does not support volume adjustment. Anyone have a solution ?

Use the option LG AUDIO SYNC on the Advanced sound Menu and this will fix the apps sending audio to optical.
