My SPN8-W subwoofer was not connecting at all, it would power on, pairing light would come on for a bit and then go off. I sent the PCB to Quyen to see if it was the same issue others had reported. After trying multiple attempts to reprogram and even replace the chip. Quyen ordered a brand new PCB board on my behalf and had it shipped directly to me. It really is fixable. I spent 3 days watching other youtube videos and going over the LG manual for non-solutions until I came across this video. Quyen saved my subwoofer. Quyen saved the day back in 2023.. for some reason, my LG Subwoofer was bricked and... after finding him online (maybe through Reddit forums? can't remember for sure), his instructions were SUPER EASY to follow for removing the board. It is backwards compatible. They are identical. Turn off the soundbar. Plug in the subwoofer and immediately on the back push the pairing button it should rapidly flash. Then turn on the soundbar. Will pair in under 30 seconds.

Probably not. You can disconnect the power on the other one and probably still doesn’t work. Each sub has there own daughter board to pair to separate sound bars.

Hi there, you seem like an absolute saviour! Just had a few questions to try and understand the situation better.. Like many others, my SPN5B-W stopped turning on all of a sudden. AFAIK my sub is not connected to the internet, how did LG manage to break it with a software update? Also, if your repair the board, do we need to do anything to ensure the firmware doesn't try again for an update?

When you first got your soundbar you added your Wi-Fi and forgot about it. Or you used the lg app. I’m sure LG corrected the update but either way I use it only has a soundbar and I also block the soundbar on my router.
