Whatever that headphone jack like cable you used is I don't have one that came with mine
@jessiemueller886711 ай бұрын
It's an auxiliary cord. Yours should have come with an optical cable you can use either one

Mine was with the manual and batteries

Looks like standard 3.5mm audio cable (like used to come with almost all headphones before wireless came along). You probably have a few laying around the house.

Between this and the LG SP2, which one has the best overall sound quality?
@TechWatcher2 ай бұрын
they have big difference in max power 120 vs 300, but when they are set on 30% volume, sp2 has actually better calibrated low sounds freq , while sqc2 has better bass when u increase volume to 50%

Hi. Researching, I found that DTX and DOLBY AUDIO only work on equipment with HDMI output. As this device does not have this output, it is not possible to enjoy these sound technologies.
@VexxedSRАй бұрын
Optical supports dolby digital and dts just not the other ones like dts:x and dolby digital plus which wouldn't make a difference since this soundbar has no up firing speakers or rear satellites for spatial audio so you're best off running it in stereo without any additional sound processing. If you want good 3D spatial audio don't bother with soundbars and instead go for a good home theatre system and decent room acoustic treatment.

it's around 55 watts total , but it's ok .

Why does the box say 300 watts
@kisspeteristvan Жыл бұрын
marketing , the only real metric is the actual power consumption from the wall . No one would get angry if the box stated a lower number , but this plague has been with us for so long that people would start not believing that a 50-100 watt system can sound good .
@kisspeteristvan Жыл бұрын
Super high quality speakers can get extremly loud at only 20 watts ! . Currently the marketing guys are saying that a product outputs much much more than it consumes , it simply does not work like that . There are lots of fake charts and made up numbers . Also there are many different properties of the audio devicese , and quite a few measuring procedures . But most manufacturers mix and match these numbers in such a way to look extremly high . Also power is nothing without an efficient speaker . It gets a bit complicated than this , but the only number you can almost certainly trust is on the nameplate of the device , where it states power consumption in Watts . if they only state the max momentary draw in amps , that's already misleading . Best is a power meter socket . Crank it to near max and read the value , apply a 90% efficiency to the transformer , and you'll get your maxium imput power . The value on the box simply CANNOT be higher than this , unless the device has a nuclear power generator inside . But they have been doing this since the 80's and almost reverted to the real numbers , but the soundbar and portable speaker "age" ignited a new streak of pumping up numbers. Have you ever wondered why a party speaker that's rated at like 400watts can last 6-8 hours at high volume levels while having a battery size similar to a laptop ? Meanwhile the (average) laptop with 40-100 watts draw can only last 3 hours (maximum 2 while gaming)

@1 at maximum , because there is an efficiency factor on the transformer , and sometimes other electronics in the speaker . So what i'm saying is yes , real power yes . The rest of the mumbo jumbo specs are an illusion , they can get away with it because people don't know , don't care , and it sounds loud ....so they say what they want . I also owned a speaker that was 100W , and it really was , but the efficiency was so shit it sounded like a proper 30watt speaker :D .
