I used this vid to redo my LG 4 Stylo and 5 Stylo both had cracked screens, super helpful, I didnt have a heat gun so I used the hot metal grill bars on my stove and slowly slid the phone back and forth over this hot bar after heating it with the oven, also used a pocket knife and exacto knife.

On 5:38 He disconnects the microphone and says to be careful not to break because people could not hear you on the other side , but it is in case if you break or forget to connect back.Just be careful

For future reference, Bill, sometimes hair dryers are better as it forces you to be patient. I generally use a dryer over my costly heatgun on an item I have yet to handle. You get an idea of how the adhesive will act without breaking anything

Thanks for the great tutorial! I was able to replace my wife's cracked screen successfully with your guide, however the fingerprint sensor seems to have quit simultaneously with the repair, "Unable to use fingerprint sensor, contact a customer service center" I did a soft reboot without success. I appreciate any direction you can offer.

I tested my screen for days worked great.. when I got last parts I just used the tiny tube of t7000 that came with my screen. After puting it all together the screen works great for a few moments and fades out and then lines form. The tiny glue bottle had no fine filter and the glue was already half hardened.. it came out to big of globs to work with and was hard to work with. If any of it touched the back of digitizer would this be my issue? It works great for a few moments then slowly starts fading and even lines form the longer I keep screen on

I'm just replacing the back of my LG Stylo 5 along w/the the battery, charging port, loud speaker, & ear speaker. The battery or the charging port is the issue, but I just wanted to replace the other parts while I'm @ it. The loud speaker kinda statics some. So it will make it better! Thanks tho!

That black plastic cover over the logic board is for wireless charging. It’s not doing nothing, so don’t destroy it. The teardown skills of some of these guys leaves a lot to be desired. Like a bull in a china shop.

these LCD digitizer panels are very thin and before I would even attempt to put any pressure on this delicate replacement screen I would install a tempered glass screen protector on the panel before installing it into the mid frame this way you have left chance of cracking it when you install it.

I had recently cracked the glass on my stylo 5. While the glass was cracked, the phone still continued to work until the replacement glass I order came to me. I went ahead and had the glass replaced following your video. But when I tried to turn it on, I got a black screen. It would not turn on. Then I went ahead and plugged it in to wall to charge the phone. I got a ? in a circle when I plugged it in. After a couple of hours of charging, the phone still would not turn on. I went back into the phone to be sure that everything was connected correctly and it was. Still the phone would not turn on. Please help! What is your suggestion?

I can not find my model number which is Q720QM whats the difference is there a difference that I need to know before buying one? Does the QM even matter or as long as it says 720 what? Thank you wonderful video. Just one thing. While testing the new screen before applying glue. The phone doesn't turn on.if the back of the motherboard where the on/off make contact whith the switch line(on-off button ) is not pushed again slightly.it took me a while to realize that.

incase anyone is worried they broke thier phone. the test turn on. it only worked when i put everything back connected even the plastic holder things and the black plate. then it worked :D
