I was very skeptical that this would fix my connection problem, because I had this TV for 3+ years and hadn't had any problems before. Then suddenly my connection would drop or I just couldn't connect at all (would show no available networks). This started occurring every time I tried to stream something. But after watching this video, I took the back off the TV, and sure enough all the wires that he shows had big crimps in them. I straightened them the best I could and (knock on wood) I haven't had any issues since. Amazing hack. Thank you!

This is crazy but THIS WORKED. I have a LG 55" tv and could not get the Wifi past the Not Connected stage. I spent a total of 5 hours on the phone with LG Lifes Good, Netflix and Spectrum and got no where. Searched the heck out of the internet only to come up with nothing. Came across this video and while I was reluctant to pull the back off the tv thinking there is no way a bent wire can actually be the problem, I did it and found the bent wire. Straightened it out and BOOM the TV found my wifi connection. I cant thank you enough (neither can my wife) This was a huge level of frustration you solved for me. Thanks SO much.

If anyone is contemplating doing this or getting a new TV, DO THIS!!! I just did about 5 minutes ago and so far so good. Longest my TV has stayed connected in months, thank you thank you thank you!!!!! My advice is to use a flat head screw driver to pry open the back of the TV (actually way harder than it seems), and also use knife or box opener to remove tape that tapes the wires together, causing them to bend.

I watched your video and thought to myself yeah right... not gonna fix my problem.. but I had nothing to lose... I have had wifi and connection problems with this tv since I bought it. They have been on and off and it sometimes works sometimes doesn't. I didn't think that this would fix it at all. As soon as I straightened the wires and powered the tv back on everything loaded instantly. I have always had a loading bar... always. I had to do this same this except I didn't have to straighten out the wires, I just reconnected the wifi cable into the motherboard. Unplug it then plug it back in and it worked when I started it back up, almost instantly.

You’re a god among men! If you’ve tried the unplug and re plug, and factory resetting your tv, you’ll be happy to be able to input all your passwords again after opening it up and unkinking the Wi-Fi wires to get it working again, you’re great, thank you for the tutorial 😎✌🏼

I straightened(flattened) the two different connections and it finally connected after years of trying to figure this out(UH6100). Great video and fixed my problem o a 5 yr. old 65 inch. I couldn't believe that it was so simple. Couple of hints. Do take the legs off before taking off the back. Mine refused to release until I removed the legs and then it was totally free. The modem module is located at the very bottom (center) of the tv. It's covered with a plastic cover. Take the cover off to get a good look at the crimps in the ribbon cable. I am really in awe of this quick fix. Thank you Edward for making it. It probably saved me $200 + for a service call and part which was not needed.

Ok Hopefully This Will Help Others As Well. So Before I Go Into a Long Intro (Like Articles You Click On lol) IT WORKED!!! Now For The Details. First Off Thank You So Much SPF For The Great Simple Detail Even Right Down To The Little Screw by The Inputs. I Have The 2017 LGTV 65 inch UJ6300 and It Worked as You Said. So For Anyone Thinking Like I Did (oh lawd I have to take off the back and before that i have move it from its spot of perfection or off the wall lol) Its Not Bad at All. I Had My Wife Help Me Move It To The Table So It Can Lay Flat and Removed The Screws... Please Note That With Our TV I Had To Remove The Stands To Remove The Back. Once That Was Done I Straightened Out The Wires Like You Said (after removing that little blue ribbon) Did The Air Can For Dust in Little Places, Made Sure None of The Wires Were In The Way When Replacing The Back and Did a Quick Check To See if it Worked Before Putting The Screws Back in and It Conneted To The WIFI Instantly! So WOW After a Year or More With The Wifi Not Working (Saying Thats Its Off and You Cant Turn It On) This Little Trick Worked. I've Read Several Times To Try This But I Was Like Maaaaan If I Jack Something Up Then Its Really Done Because At Least The TV Would Work With The Ethernet...Well That Started Going Out Too. But Now Thanks To Your Quick Detail, Apps Have Never Loaded So Fast... i.e. We Know That Netflix and KZbinTV even Disney Plus Use a lot of Data but This Was an Easy Fix. Believe Me We Were Ready To Head Out The Door After Doing Research on a New TV between Samsung or Another LG But Decided To Try One More Search of This Trick and Your Video Came Up First and Badabing...I Am Golden Lol.
