Releasing this at the same time as the iPhone is like having a death wish! Not releasing in Europe won't help and it's hard to imagine this will be anything more than a slow burner. Which is a shame as this is easily a better phone than the overhyped N7. Nice to see that it comes with Nougat, no excuses Samsung. Best Android phone of 2016 so far.

LG has surely continued to improve on everything they're doing. This phone, even in pre release form, is a far cry from something like the G5. I'll admit, all the sound quality features including the actually decent looking sound equalizer and the overall interface looks awesome. I bet the phone won't come cheap though, but at LEAST I found an LG phone that looks good to me while having all these features (and SD card slot, always appreciated)

Nice video man...excellent quality audio and video. I have the Note 7...(the none dangerous one) and I am thinking about getting this phone or wait for the new Google phone next month. Have you tried the headphone jack with headphones and a does the DAC features work with bluetooth?

I don't buy the high cost argument. There are many affordable mobile phones with decent AMOLED screens. LG is simply lagging behind. The V20 has great specs, but its screen is a major let down IMO.

I have recently been looking for a replacement for my trusty Note 3 but with most smart phones doing away with the IR Blaster and not giving access to replace the battery, I was prepared to stay with my Note 3. The note 5 and 7 were immediately scratched from the list due to those 2 requirements and now things are looking up after finding out about this LG. I think it will be an insta buy for me once it hits the AT&T store.

I am in the same boat, I've been hanging on to my Note 4 after the Notes after it really took steps backwards except for the camera. I would give the Nexus a chance but their screen is only 5.5"

the V10 has an IR blaster and replaceable battery, which is why I got it. But since you don't already have one, I'd say the V20 is your best bet at this point

learn the correct terminology friend. gorilla glass 5 isn't as hard as 4, hardness is just how easily something can be scratched. the highest hardness is 10 on the mohs scale and only diamonds are that hard. you can still smash and shatter a diamond with a hammer tho, yet you cannot shatter gorilla glass 5 with one, because it is stronger. strength of any given material just refers to how resistant it is to force

So a great phone with features not seen in any other flagships, but it fails in one of the most important feature for me. The screen, at the end of the day, the screen along with audio playback are the 2 features that I use the most on a phone and although the V20 has a great audio system, I don't have anything to complain of my s7 edge exynos. And I could ask a 3th feature that for me it's important, the camera and LG packs a great system with many features, it is still plagued by some things I saw on the v10 and g5, it overexposes a lot and the dynamic range is not great, in this area the s7 edge does just fine and the p9 is a truly king. That along with LG's android skin, means that I will be skipping LG's phones this year too.

To be honest, I doubt a phone will EVER sound as good as a dedicated device like the Opus #1 or Calyx M. Not sure what to make of a quad-DAC. The best hifi DACs on the market all use single DACs, rarely see I mention of a dual DAC. This is nothing but marketing and spec war.

My wishlist for a V30: OLED, Snapdragon 830, UFS MicroSD, wireless charging, even higher capacity battery (don't care if it's thicker), even better cameras (front and rear), available in black, and international active dual-SIM version. I think a smaller ~5" version without secondary screen would do very well in the market.
