I'mDerrick T I wish battery is the problem I have with my g4 , mine is bootlop , I don't know what to do, I've two LG 4 both with bootlop problem. Buy a couple of 🔋 if battery life is the issue, you will even find on eBay, a 5000 mha battery , it fit inside, no issues

solo i had that issue with my G4 and returned it to LG Service Center and fixed my G4. And now I'm trying to get my G4 bootlooped again because of the extended warranty. I must say LG G4 motherboard and serial number that start with 60******* doesn't have any bootloop isuues.

I'mDerrick T you probably live in the US? When it comes to Electronics you don't want to think "Canada" !! We are so messed here here. Unfortunately, I can't have access to any LG, anything. Everything in this regard is more difficult, more expensive!

Apart from the speed difference, i noticed the battery consumption => LG V30 dropped from 74% to 72% and LG G4 dropped from 62% to 55%!

I have G4 and will buy V30 as soon as it comes to my country. And after 2 years of use i can only confirm my beliefs that G4 was really well optimized. Never had a lag or bug. Even though it bootlooped it was given back for warranty and was repaired. I really like my G4 and i will leave it as a reserve, i usually sell my phones but this one will be saved. And i will buy one more for my mother as i wanted to get her a phone from LG for about 250e max and thought about getting Q6, but i think that G4 is far better phone and Q6 is 235 and G4 is 215 euros (G4 has even better Antutu score and camera etc.).

Why don´t you give her your old G4? Think it´s more than enough for a common user? By the way I would have been happier if LG would do an G4 revival with a better processor and mor GB Ram and newer Android, I would get it imediately

I have the V30. I like it so far. Though I still think the G4's main cam takes better shots than the V30 at certain times. The front cam however is inferior to the G4. Still better than the G2 though and that phone kicked ass. Still I love the v30

I have a G4 aswell but the battery sucks so much and the processor is too old too but it keeps up....and i wanted to change it with Lg V30 or S8 Plus but i dont know what to do both are very good phones and i saw lg v30 in a comparison with s8 plus is a bit faster but s8 plus has a bigger battery life plus that o led screen is too good and i m tented to go for s8 plus...what do you think?

Most of these phones in recent years are really equipped to last a good 3 to 4 years without having to upgrade. In the past people never thought about upgrading till after 2 years. Now people want to upgrade after just 6 months. People are more obsess with getting new phones every time companies advertise their new flagship phones. Also blame a lot of these tech videos and advertisements for these early upgrades. There is a placebo effect in the minds of people when there is a new phones in the market. There will always be this idea that a phone is going to slow down every time a newer models come out even though phones are just a few months or a year old. The LG G6 isn't slower than the V30. The s8 isn't that slower than the note 8. The s7 edge isn't that slower than the s8. Opening up just basic everything apps isn't much of a differences between phones.

hienho15 upgrading is a little bit addicting now that we can do it so easily now. But it's also more freeing if you happen to get a phone you don't like after a month or so.

I waited 3 to 4 years but had to get a new G4 because my old one crapped out. I hope the V30 has a much better battery because the G4 had a pretty bad one.

Honestly the G4 was the phone that convinced me to move over to Android. And for the year that it worked it was the perfect phone. It was blazing fast, did everything right, had a IR blaster, removable battery and SD card. It's such a pity that LG's quality control was such shit that it had the dreaded bootloop problem and was basically the Devil at customer service. I really hope they have improved with the V30 because Apple has continued to get greedier and Samsung has their own issues (that said, I could see myself owning a Note).

I still use the g4, and tbh, I don't have any major issues with it. It has the removable battery which is so convenient, as I have 2 batteries charged up ready to go. I just think 32gb isn't nearly enough space.

G4 after 2 years of heavy use and heavy 3D gaming and a lot of drops still going strong, my wife had to replace her S6 after one year due too heavy lag and hangups and she only uses facebook, youtube and camera

UnderTaker same here. My S6 still performs very well after 2 years . I'm about to upgrade to the Pixel 2 XL but I have to say the S6 is the best and most reliable phone I've ever owned.

Who cares about slight speed delay and some minor reloading (which is irrelevant in reality anyway)? The G4's cameras are superior and it only takes the G6 or V30's camera software to make them even better.

Bintang Nugroho Gusti Nah not at all. V30's main camera may sound of the same 16mp as the G4, but it has a way smaller 1/3" sensor, which results to smaller pixels than the G4's sensor at 1/2.6". F1.6 is not helping either, because the f1.8 of the G4 is just as wide, and it would literally make sense of its use if it was on a 1/2.6" sensor. I agree though that the front camera is garbage. G4 takes some awesome selfies, but V30 takes some of the worst.

looks like the multitasking has something to do with the coding of the android version the phone is on ... on the older phones Apps that don't use internet stay open but apps that use internet always refresh...

g4 is a good phone for the nearly 3 years I've had it, but christ that bootloop was a nightmare. Basically waiting for the replacement I was sent to bootloop as well. No appealing options in terms of smartphones right now for me so I guess i'll keep waiting
