The 20 blows the 60 out of the water Microphones are better, default settings are better, default recording mode is stereo Flac, not mono Mp3 like the 60., voice to text recognition is far better. They have been trying for 4 models to get back to the 20 and they still aren't even close

Even if you dont use the Hifi quad dac. The Dts X 3D sound will greatly boost your bluetooth headphones experience.

Yes got mine today, not only is the sound great but the camera and video is really clear, this is a really nice phone & this is coming from a long time samsung guy.

Sound was good until v40...LG lost it from V50. Turning on/off the hifi dac makes no difference on V50. Even though V40/v50 have the same dac chip.

I own the V35 and I run high end IEM's and bro the detail on this DAC is out of this world. With that said, it would be more than worth the penny to get some nice IEMs. (ThieAudio Legacy 3) Those are my favorite IEM's that I own, and don't break the bank.

@@6Eternal9 For now only have SHP9500's, and like two IEM's. I had to sell a lot of my gear do to covid. The v30 is a really good phone for most headphones under $300.

V20 with Bang & Olufsen tuned system and quad DAC blows the 60 out of the water. The mics are way better. The default for recording is Flac, on the 60 it's MP3 which kind of tells you just what type of phone you're holding

Wish they had test tones like the s10 does.. I need an upgrade and Samsung has really turned me off with getting rid of the 3.5mm jack. I run KZ IEM's and want to be able to upgrade to a phone with a great DAC.. Sounds like this may be the one I'm looking for!

The LG 3d is bad compare to the DTS X on the old flagships.

The 3D engine is really hit or miss with certain songs. It's actually very similar in sound to 360 reality audio.

On my V40, I never use Dts X for music. Only for games or movies.

The DTS:X 3D Surround of my LG V50 I have it off active as it sounds louder and with better nuances with much more body sounds louder. I wanted to know if the V60 still has a soundboard when playing music because the V50 sounds very loud like a small Bluetooth speaker

Have the V30 and just got a V60..and the V30 definitely sounds better..dont know why as its counter intuitive ..slightly disappointed was hoping the V60 would sound better..looked all over for the 'why' ..no luck . Does anyone know?

The speakers in the v30 is timeless man, v60 has a more neutral signature which probably is not your preference (and it's not so loud), but the dac in the v60 is better imo

my new LG V60 doesn’t connect by Aptx HD to headphones, only by Aptx. Even in developer options I cannot switch to Aptx HD. My headphone is B&O PX7 and my previous smartphone LG V40 is always automatically connect by AptxHD. Do you know how to solve the problem? In phone characteristics it have aptx hd support.

My v30 definitely sounds better than the v60..have no idea why..but in guessing the v 40..Lg must have gone and changed something ..disapointed cause I was expecting the 60 to be much better than the 30 .

Sound was good until V40. LG lost it from V50. Both headphone/bluetooth sound are quite disappointing on my V50. I'm guessing the V60 would also be disappointing. Definitely get a V40. Edit 2023: ...and sadly I was right. V60 sound is also pretty bad. I bought an iPhone 6s just for this....the audio quality blows anything on android out of the water.

I love my new V60 but I only get up 75 with the volume with headphones plugged in, but my LG G4 (Yep I said G4) blows my V60 out of the water when using the headphones. Is there an achievable 100 percent on the V60 because the 75 percent kinda sucks!

There is a hack for this. You need a small extension so the phone thinks it's an external speaker. It works

Are you saying the G4 wins in just volume or overall performance? I'll take less volume on a V series LG phone any day if it means better dynamic range with the Hi-Fi DAC trick that works with the LGV10 and others.

You have to order one,.stores don't carry them. They rarely stocked LG phones at any carrier, even when LG was popular only the basic phones were in stores,.not these premium phones. eBay has many unlocked LG v60

Order one from the usa..ebay..i got it or 389$ but theyre going for 289 now. Somwtimes with the dual screen..it's a steal..paid customs 6000 rs..even adding turned out very cheap.

Its sad because he cribs so much about the many audio features the phone has. I don't like the sound like this I don't use that. we want to hear how the sound changes when you activate the features, foe example, the soundstage is like a stadium or a theatre or a concert hall or a studio or just like a walkman. the LG 3d sound engine is the equivalent to the Dolby Atmos in Samsung phones. it does make a difference when you watch 5.1 audio movies on the hardware acceleration. sadly, its videos like these which made Samsung ditch the awesome sounding concert hall effect in their new phones.
