Omg man Thank you so much I just searched for like 20 effing minutes trying to figure out how to use this mother effing function... Was like no good explanation except for your video!!!! Thank you!!!! It was my mother's washer before she passed away... And for the life of me I have no idea where the instruction manual is and ridiculously and stupidly Google other parts of the internet and specifically and more annoyingly freaking LG we're not helpful at all!! Yes, my LG instruction manual says to use a machine cleaning product with this cycle. I used Oxi-Clean Washing Machine Cleaner

I decided to upgrade as it started getting a little bit noisy, I think the bearings were starting to fail and I looked into repairing it and it was way too big of a job so I just got rid of it.

I added vinegar to the usual bleach clean for the washer and it worked great!

No, that should be okay, but you probably want to add a dedicated washing machine cleaner or some bleach instead.

Tub clean just heats the water pretty much to boiling which you can do on a normal wash so I don’t think it’ll do any damage unless there’s a lot of suds

I just use a little bleach, otherwise your local supermarket should have it.

I use a specific cleaning product that is designed for cleaning washing machine, but honestly get similar results with just tub clean and water, I think the key thing is the boiling of the water the washing machine does.

Yeah no... Google it they have special cleaners they come in tablet form. Affresh is one brand... I found this other brand called "ACTIVE washing machine cleaner" 24 tablets for significantly unbelievably less amounts of money then stupid fucking Affresh... Which is like three times the cost for like 1/4 the product.
