LG Washing Machine Door Slamming Down Solved

In this video I show how to change the time delay hinges on an LG top loading machine. This effectively stops the heavy door from coming down hard and slamming against the washing machine.
No complicated tools are required, only a Phillips screwdriver and a small flat screwdriver.
At the end of the video you can see that the door takes its time to close and does not hit hard like before.

I have a new LG WT7300CW. The first one that was delivered a couple weeks ago had a undue vibration on spin from the test for the tubes with nothing in it and also with a small balanced load. But the see-through lid can them slowly and smoothly without any noise. I just got it replaced and the new one has less vibration, but the lid come sent quicker in sort of plops down the last 25° or so, creating a sound as it hits the machine. It Is not terrible but I know that's not how it's supposed to work. Should I schedule a warranty repair? Or can I get them to send me these hinges under warranty and do it myself?

@@DominicGichane There were typos in my comment--it should be... But the see-through lid came down slowly and smoothly... But there's a lot more to this story now. It turns out the vibration was also similar to the first one, so I had them pick up the replacement for a refund. I then decided to get a Whirlpool, the 5.2/5.3 cubic foot direct drive with the removable agitator, from another home appliance company. Well, that had less vibration, but under the normal setting that uses little water, about 75% of the clothes were out of water, and I was worried it would be too harsh on them, Plus, the rinse cycles were insufficient. One feature of this washer was the ability to add extra water including max fill, but in any settings that added more water-- medium to high to max--the clothes would hardly move--the impeller, even with the agitator attached, which does nothing, would not rotate the clothes, would not circulate, agitate, or move them from where they where I loaded them, and, needless to say, they did not get washed; plus the cycle was rather short. It also had an insufficient rinse cycle, even with an extra rinse. I don't know how they could sell a machine so poorly designed. So I had that machine returned to the company for a refund, and decided to try the LG one more time, from the second company, thinking maybe it was just a bad batch from the other outfit. Fortunately, the third of the same model LG WT7300CW, had almost no vibration (it also seemed like there was more space under the bottom edge of the machine than the earlier ones--maybe some variation in manufacturing runs or design changes). It works quite well with a normal setting. I notice it starts out using very little water like the Whirlpool, but then progressively adds more water as it sensors do things, until it has a normal amount of water to finish the wash, and it rinses properly, much better than the Whirlpool.
