Hi Adam, the hallmark as far as I can tell is a lion on the left indicating it's 925 silver, the middle symbol I'm not sure, and the far right I think is a lions head, indicating it's assay mark is London, hope that helps.

The set ruby! Reminds me if a bearing on the top of a butterfly regulator in an old windup music box, the last time I saw something like that in place was back in the 70s, also I’d be interested when your doing these videos to quote the mode, sensitivity and recovery/IF/Sb settings at the start of the hunt.. nice videos btw
@DTEKTSUSSEX2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve! I'll check that line of thinking out! I usually do run through the basic settings. This was a rare example where I didn't. The problem with a machine like this is that it would take far too long to run through all the various settings...and then update you when they inevitably change during the hunt. Tricky balance to strike 👍

Hi Adam I have a question please.. I have updated the simplex plus with latest update but park 2 is playing up,, I heard you say in previous video they said it would be more wobbly at depth but it's just not right to me, is there anyway of changing the update back to the previous one.. Many Thanks Silver
@DTEKTSUSSEX2 жыл бұрын
Hi, What are you finding specifically? There's no change in performance in the latest update so rolling back won't change anything. The issues you're having must either be due to other factors or be down to a partially failed upload. Try reinstalling the same software again just to eliminate that issue. The wobbly depth I mentioned was just the VDIs. They're wobbly and unusable at extreme depth on 2.77 whereas they just cut off on 2.78. The performance on both is the same.
@silvernutoutdoors88922 жыл бұрын
@@DTEKTSUSSEX before update it was running stable no problems, now it's just bouncy and terrible on targets 2 to 3 inches.. Air test is fine but those signals should be slamming at that kind of depth and number ate just everywhere, maybe machine issue but up until recent update, no issues.. I know machine inside out but this has me baffled. Also friend update and his park 2 barely picks up anything so I'm not sure, any help or advice is gratefully appreciated
@silvernutoutdoors88922 жыл бұрын
Yes I will plug it in a re upload that could be the issue. I will try that see how it goes.. Thanks for the quick reply Really enjoying the videos have binge watched the passed 3 days.. Keep up the good work.. Will let you know if re upload will do it
@DTEKTSUSSEX2 жыл бұрын
Let me know how you get on. A successful update 100% wouldn't have affected the performance. Make sure you've eliminated potential EMI in the area as well. Including something new (which you may not be able to see like recent cable works underground etc.) or something easy to forget/miss like putting your phone on airplane mode. Always best to check for the simplest explanation 👍😊 Good luck!
@silvernutoutdoors88922 жыл бұрын
@@DTEKTSUSSEX Great thanks Adam will do.. No problem with EMI definitely away from all that lol.. Be interesting to find out how many others may of had this problem while trying to upload,, funny how it only effects park 2 tho 🤔 Heading home shortly so I'll try again on the upload and get back with you . Thanks again and appreciate the advice 🙏

Ok I just purchased a legend. And I would like to know where you found the bright red button option and the blue coil wire
@DTEKTSUSSEX2 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, The red icons are part of the Nokta Control Box Cover made specifically for the Legend. Any Nokta stockist will have them. The blue cable protector is a Snake Skinz. It's a 3rd party product but should be available through most detecting shops 😊👍

great skills with the camera and editing 10 out of 10 👍with no scale of size have to say your find is about as wide as a finger so have to go with a Silver Button and the stone is most likely red glass, only a diamond can scratch a ruby. still a neat find
@DTEKTSUSSEX2 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate! Current opinion from experts I've shown it to since recording the video are convinced it's a genuine ruby. I'll take it to a proper jewellers eventually to confirm 😊

@@DTEKTSUSSEX hey if experts say it's a ruby then it's a ruby but it looks pitted and scratched and only a diamond will scratch a ruby. congratulations ruby or not still a neat find
@rogerclaiborne68152 жыл бұрын
That's a silver hallmark. To test to see if the stone is glass or a ruby you could use ultraviolet light. If it glows it's likely a ruby. That's how I test them. If it is a ruby it could be a man made one though. They were one of the first gemstones to be lab created.

What do you think about the 6in coil vs this LG24? Great video and thank you
@DTEKTSUSSEX Жыл бұрын
Hi! Both are great for different tasks. The LG15 is perfect for getting into small areas and between stubble. The LG24 is more precise, deeper and more stable than the LG15 making it great for the beach. If you're covering wide open areas of beach I'd suggest the LG30, though. You'll cover more ground and go even deeper 👍

@@DTEKTSUSSEX awesome and thank you Next week I’m going to buy the Nokta Legend, I’m trying to figure out which package to buy, the one with headphones only and buy the LG24 or the other kit that comes with 2 coils & the battery pack? Thank you

I get a bit arm weary, swinging the 11 inch stock coil on the Legend for three hours. I’m considering getting the LG 24. Did you find it a bit too small to get good coverage on the beach?
@DTEKTSUSSEX2 жыл бұрын
The coverage will be less but it'll probably be my go-to coil for a lot of beaches. It's only 4cm less coverage front to back compared with the stock.

Could be a star ruby, meaning it's made spherical which allows the light entering it to form a star like appearance in the center, hold the back aperture up to the light and look into the sphere, that could be what the markings around the hole in the back are meaning the sun to shine through it.... great find.

I think your vids in general have good content. Your intros make me feel like I'm at the movies, I didn't know if I was about to watch a new release of jurassic Park or watch a metal detecting video. Personally, I think any intro longer than 20-30 seconds is too long and often loses my attention. I had to stop watching this vid because your breathing sounds like you just finished running a marathon and I couldn't stay engaged. Just constructive criticism, don't take it the wrong way. I usually watch your vids through.
