I'm so glad to see you doing this. It's sad to see how much of America has no idea about the history of their own country, particularly the parts of it they'd find uncomfortable.

I love these lgbt history videos! But I wanna recommend a Tv show to talk about, Versailles. It's set in the late 1600s and one of the main characters is gay and has a boyfriend and although the relationship may not be perfect it definitely does not have queerbaiting. There are two seasons but only one is out on Netflix currently

Is it bad I wanna be a stay at home mom? Like I know the whole "ayy women can do everything just like men" but I just wanna raise my future kids tbh. I'm a lesbian and I know I'm gonna have to work so I'm going to go for nursing & eventually becoming an anesthesiologist but I wish the economy was better so millennials could actually buy a house hmph. Anyways great video!! I'm loving this series and recommended it to my friend!!

Matt Murdock women can do anything a man can do (within reason); and that includes raising a family. If being a stay-at-home mum is what you're happy doing, don't let anyone pressure you into changing your mind! 😊
@hiimaybesatan73217 жыл бұрын
Matt Murdock as a fellow lesbian, I must say, you do you. The thing about gender stereotypes is, if we do the exact opposite all the time, we'll just have formed new gender stereotypes, just different than what it was.
@SalamanderMagic7 жыл бұрын
Matt Murdock No, its not bad at all. If you want to take on a role like that, you should.
@ya_fbr7 жыл бұрын
Matt Murdock the point of gender equality and feminism is not in women doing the opposite of what stereotypes say. The point of it is in women doing exactly what they want. So yes, you do you! And don't let anyone tell you that what you want is wrong, because that's bullshit. The only right thing you can do here is do exactly what you want. And I hope it will work out :)
@Kat_Treasure7 жыл бұрын
Matt Murdock there's nothing wrong with it! do what you want and if anyone tells you that you can't/shouldn't then don't listen to them and do it!!

Ahh! I love how you highlighted James Dean AND Sal Mineo! Sal Mineo was a bisexual, open bisexual, and had a few interviews about it before his untimely death in the 70s. He does also mention his feelings about Dean. His interviews are on KZbin and across the web. It's not all conjecture. He was only a teenager when he acted with Dean in Rebel Without a Cause, but there's enough sexual tension to cut it a knife! lol And btw, you look like a young Sal Mineo to me!

Your series on LGBT+ history reminds me early of disiblity hostory, particulry Blind an dDeff history. In the 1920 all three were stigmatised, however they were portraied in the meada, and owhile it was often negitive there was far less hatred and bigatrey than what was to come. All three had massive sections of their populations sent to prisen in Hitler ocupied Europe. While LGBT+ military members were discharged and highly stigmatised members of the Military who became blind or deff were given substandered care when they retured home often were denied the same jobs they had held before the war. All three were left out of the nucler family system, as the LGBT+ were stigatised and fled to the Cities blind and deff people were sent to institutions where they often reseved substandered education and often were not well reintergrated in the larger society. While the LGBT+ community was battling the police and HIV in the 70s and 80s the blindness comunity was battling AFB and NACC for the rights to live the lives they wanted. All three were seen as sines of imorality when brought to promance in the 60s. And all three have been told that what they are is wornd and or brocken, and they need tp be cured. While some of you might not understand this last point many members of the Blind and Deff comunity see their disiblity as a part of their idenity, and sugesting geting rid of it is the same as sugesting “fixing” someon’s sexual orintation or gender idenity. I personally am blind, asexual and biromantic and have alwaysed notesed this tie between my two sepret identie’s comunity struggles through the years, and rise to notise during the 20th and 21st centries. I love your channel and this series has inspired me to make a simmler history of disiblity calture and histoory, particulary blindness. Thand you so much, Anna C. PS, I am also dyslexic so I am sory for any miss spelings, feel free to ask any questions as I often get a lot of questions about blindness history and caluture and have gotten used to explaining it. :)

if you are a fan of the series, PLEASE consider making a video on Miles Edgeworth and Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney, their relationship has lasted decades and Phoenix LITERALLY chose his career just to get a chance to battle Edgeworth in court and that way reconnect with him after like, 7 years, if you have not played the games then you should really consider it if you like visual novels, it truly is amazing, interesting and oh so well written and done.

I really like that your doing these videos, it's really interesting and nice to see how culture has changed and queer people are more welcomed and accepted, thank you! ALSO a side note, I know it's very unlikely this comment will be seen by the creator(s) themselves but there is a growing ship that has made it to the N°1 ship on the charts 7 times already. Klance from Voltron: Legendary Defender. I would REALLY recommend this show and a new season has just come out!! As far as I am aware this is a very big ship and any video made on this topic would most likely be very successful between me and many other Voltron fans!! I'm sure you probably have your own plans so just take this as a suggestion And watching Voltron as a recommendation Your videos are really good this isn't gonna get seen is it Bye

Also did you ever think of doing one about what it was like being a Soap Heartthrob and being Gay. Better yet do one on what it's like being in a Boy Band and being Gay. In the UK it was legendary.
