Thanks - we know that there can be the attitude that sexuality and gender identities can be a "phase" and really want to increase understanding and through this, acceptance.

Thanks for talking about your experience. It can take time for others to understand and we hope that videos like this can help along the way too.

Thank you so much for discussing about this topic!!! As a gay man who does not fit into these stereotypes it sadden me to see how gay community is infested with one sided stereotypes. I know there are lots of us like me, but we need to actively work to break those stereotypes. There is nothing wrong with acting according to stereotypes, if that's what you feel comfortable with. But it's NOT acceptable to paint the whole gay community with the same brush.

Stereotypes are one of the biggest pains in the neck ever... as a gay man I get women all the time wanting me to be their "gay best friend" so they can have someone to go shopping with for what looks good on them (aka smaller size people) and the like when in reality as someone who is also 6'4+ the only things I really like shopping for are t-shirts (those that actually fit anyway) and could actually careless about what people are wearing

Thank you for commenting and for talking about your experiences of stereotypes. Sometimes, people don't realise that the things they say or do can actually be a stereotype and by talking more about these, we hope it can help others to think.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It can be difficult coming out, especially if we don't feel like we fit into a specific "category". If anyone's finding things difficult, you can find loads of support and advice on the Childline website www.childline.org.uk/info-advice/your-feelings/sexual-identity/

I would say though that there is quite a lot of truth in many stereo types.

So you make a video about stereotypes and you include someone who is a stereotype of gay men and perpetuates stereotypes of gay people. For example he said that he is stereotyped as promiscuous and said that wasn't true. 8 months later he uploads a video called "I want an open relationship" which means he wants a relationship he can be promiscuous in
