Hi, I'm Chinese, so I don't need to join a tour, but for International tourists, you do need to obtain a Tibet Travel Permit before boarding any transportation to Tibet. As far as I know, only a local legit travel agency can apply such a permit for you. Hope that helps

Having Chinese flags is normal...it is part of China. And btw, we see the tibetan cultures are preserved n the languages of tibetan are shown on shop signboards. Debunking western lies from CIA and western media
