The destruction of Tibet’s culture and oppression of its people was brutal during the twenty years following the uprising. 1.2 million Tibetans, one-fifth of the country’s population, died as a result of China’s policies; many more languished in prisons and labour camps; and more than 6000 monasteries, temples and other cultural and historic buildings were destroyed and their contents pillaged. They imprisoned, tortured, maimed and brutally executed around 100,00 people: who were they? Simple Buddhist monks! They also burned and destroyed 1000 years of holy Buddhist books and manuscripts. And they call the HH the Dalai Lama a terrorist!! Laughable but equally heinous and poisonous. This is the Chinese Government as it was back then and still remains today!

As a Buddhist, I learned about karma many years ago. I got to know about the Chinese invasion and takeover of Tibet back in 1970. I met two Tibetan lamas who came to my country, Scotland, to establish the Samye Ling Tibetan Monastery and Culture Centre. They told me back then about the inhumane, evil atrocities inflicted on the Tibetans by the Chinese. It was on a par with how Hitler's Nazis treated the Jews. What happened to Hitler and Nazi Germany? We have now the current Chinese leadership under that vile animal, Xi Jinping (I am not going to call him a human being). But, Mr Xi, your country will eventually go the same way as Nazi Germany - wiped out - it's called karma!

I think you should watch this film. I received this from a friend with this comment : quote Monarex is the film company in Hollywood That made this film. I saw only a little part and wonder why it is not widely shown. I wrote to the writer, producer, director, Chris Nebe to ask after the truth of what was in the part of the film that I saw, and he said it was the stark truth, no additions for the sake of drama. When I asked why it is not shown, as it was the truth, and he replied that: that is the way of the world. This is, for me, a confirmation that people believe what they want to believe, the truth is not important at all. And heaven help those that have been brainwashed without their knowledge. unquote kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqTOoGOlerCifs0 Give up your hate, Ian Oliver, and practice true Buddhism!

Spend some percious time in serious talks n expressions when describing .. or better learn from some of the adventure authors, travel writers (many here on youtube) . Free all states in America and all countries in the EU. I have no idea why people prefer to believe a small group of people rather than most of the people who lived in the country. Western double standard logic? Political motivation media brainwashed kids? or Blinded? Do you know why you are trapped in the middle class? The elite groups are smart enough to fool you around and making you against someone who disagrees with them. Too young too naive. Hey, there are no justice, mercy, freedom of speech and human rights in the political world. It's all about business and power. In most cases, they only allow you to see/ watch whatever they want you to see.

@杨健 Chinese lies shamelessly. Tibetan population was about 6 million that includes not just Tibet Autonomous but Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, and Yunan. At least 100,000 Tibetans have escaped Tibet in 1959-60 to India and Nepal.

@@petagonkyi The majority of the Tibetan Chinese live outside Tibet. So if Tibet is not part of China, are all those Tibetan illegal immigrants?
