I was too young to enjoy it but my older sister used to watch it. now I am watching the episodes in my forties and regret my 3 boys never had the opportunity to watch them while they were younger. It is so wholesome... I've probably said enough just incredible!

This family was full of love. I don't care if that sounds mushy. This is the way it should be. Now days families fight and hate each other, parents divorce. Nobody can stick together when times get hard. It's always been hard, in different ways from generation to generation, but these are the worst. Thank goodness for this show. We just lost Kent McGray who other than Michael Landon, made this show what it is. Nothing will ever be like LHOTP, ever.

Watching this episode I have to wondet if this was the idea for his Highway to Heaven show that ran aftet LHOP ended... the mysterious man on the mountain that knows all about God and sends a cross down river to her father and then just disappears at the end...a guy who happens to be named Jonathan and acts like an angel. What do you guys think? Concept story for Highway to heaven tested here or what?

The problem was they cared more for the baby boy than their daughter Laura Ingalls. Laura Ingles was abandoned by her own family and then when the baby boy got real sick and died then she wanted to do was have her life traded for her baby brother. But in the end Charles Ingles & the rest of the family realized that they were so wrong and not let her be part of the family alone with her baby brother.
