Thanks. Now I have to get the rest of the boat to match it before this needs another coat of varnish. :)

Hey Gil Awesome stuff really like you and the wife's approach and sharing with everybody. In the summary of part 3 you talked about clearing the holes with a nail etc -- I don't remember you showing that part and I just finished part 2 and went straight to part 3 -- Thanks again -- John G in Shreveport

Johnny G good catch I guess I didn't realize that I didn't put that piece of video in place. What I'll do iover the next week or so is either find the video clip or I will record doing another section. I have plenty of work I'm doing and I will upload it to KZbin and add the link to this video as well as this comment. Thanks again for the catch

Dorado is a fish. Dorade is a vent.

Thank you for the correction. I thought I was getting that wrong. So is it pronounced Dorade, with a long A and the ending e is silent?

Yes. Ends like lemonade. Dor-ade. Good luck with the refit.

If I do any polishing it'll be on the inside bronze. The exterior bronze can stay green. I've had to do some polishing on exterior stuff since the previous owner liked to slop paint everywhere. If you leave a flap on the blue tape around the drill bit instead of wrapping it tight, the flap will brush away the shavings as it reaches the stopping point.

I like that nickname too. I am with you too on the polishing. I only polished the rim of bronze that shows below deck from the bunk. Like your PO (Previous Owner) mine also got some paint on the cowl vent but I may just leave it for now.
