非常遺憾，這件事情其實對兩個人都不公平。張國榮因為評委的偏見，不能公平競爭，失去了得獎機會，而造成了梁朝偉這次得獎不夠公信力。其實兩位都是非常優秀的演員，我認為他們的實力旗鼓相當，不需要被獎項限制我們對演員的評價。

Eng is not my first language, but I will try my best to translate. Host: when Tony was facing some challenges during filming, or dealing with pressure, like making Lust Caution with Ang Lee, will he tell you? Talk to you about it? Carina: Yes, of course, but Lust Caution is not that difficult already. He was extremely struggling in Happy Together, the first scene he had to do in Argentina was the sex scene with Leslie, nudity required. For him being naked is hard enough already, but shooting a sex scene with a man is something he has never experienced before. Host: He probably wanna kill Wong Kar Wai Carina: Tony was asking the director could they do that scene later, he and Leslie need more time to get to know each other better. But Wong Kar Wai said no, the sex scene needs to be done before everything else could even start. Tony got stuck and asked me confusedly “how ?! how to do it?” Luckily the director is not extremely pushy, he is ok to wait, but still insist the sex scene has to be shot first. But I think as time goes by, Tony has accepted that it is his job as an actor. Host: How did you persuade him? Carina: I said it’s just a movie! Just a movie role, not that big of a deal. But Tony said “but I really have to kiss and touch him.” Then some time later Tony finally came around, he told me “I get it, I should treat Leslie like you. Not physically see him as a woman but the way we communicate. Actually you two have similar personalities.” Host: Tend to argue a lot? Carina: It’s like we(Carina and Leslie) both ask so many questions, like what did you eat? Why do you eat that much? Why did you do workout that long? For 3 hours? What did you discuss with Wong Kar Wai just now? Why won’t you tell me? Tony said if I see him as a woman/girlfriend then everything will be fine. I said exactly, that’s right! Lust Caution is easy for him already, he overcame his self-consciousness. Host: How about you? Will you share your acting problems with Tony? Carina: Yes, I will talk about my difficulties, but not the kind Tony had with Happy Together. I can get into and wash off a character quickly, but Tony needs time to relate and get out, our process as an actor is different.

I don't think she was being disrespectful to Leslie. Carina and Leslie are mahjong buddies. She's closer to Leslie than Tony were to Leslie. She's just saying telling what difficulties Tony faced initially. She didn't say Leslie was like a girl. She just asked Tony to treat Leslie like a girl while filming the love scene. That's how Tony could complete those scenes. There is something wrong with some ppl understanding of Cantonese here.
