Out of all the big smashers in WD I know, Yu Yang, Wang Xiaoli, Rytter-Juhl, Takahashi, Jia Yifan, Pearly Tan, Lee So Hee, Kong Hee Yong, Lin Jhih Yun and so on, nobody can hit a full-body smash as hard as Shida. It feels that way to me. I never really saw just how fast she hits, but looks mighty fast. I have a feeling people don't realise how hard Shida can hit. Still, Matsuyama's attacks from the back court feels a bit more effective.

​@@xyzcv5 I'd argue that Jia Yifan hits the hardest in WD category since she's a lefty. But Shida's technique is so unorthodox, she looks a bit unstable after each hit. Not the most aesthetically pleasing, but powerful smashes nonetheless. Would like to be on the receiving end of her smashes to see if I can retrieve it.

They know each other and have played many practice games. Sometimes such anticipation is naturally developed based on your understanding of the person and not the rules.

@GatorWinup Agree. It's called spatial awareness. They've been playing for so long they can anticipate opponents' movements.
