@@fernank017 While Axelsen might have won the point regardless, and was still favored to win the match, it's a legitimate complaint. You don't need to bend over backward to defend him. It's clearly not the intended use of a 'medical timeout' to break momentum or take a breather and this one was rather transparent. They really do need to change the rule because it IS being abused by a lot of players, and not just Axelsen.

Nope he was not gifting, on contrary Victor was getting nervous, medical break proved he was damn serious about the match, Momota used to have same effect on victor, force him to make silly mistakes, Ginting has the skills and speed to force Victor to commit errors but he is not consistent enough and lacks patience and mental toughness which Momota used to have when he was best, right now Victor seems invincible as there is huge skills gap between him and other players.
