It’s funny people don’t even think about their music being more dance focused and that usually doesn’t let the vocal shine like other groups. But she can sing, she just doesn’t go from 1 to 100 like some artists. I remember listen to T-ara back in the day and how everyone said Eunjung was the main vocalist, when the company said it was Soyeon. I get why, be Eunjung would go to high notes, but Soyeon was the main vocalist, because she has really good control of her vocals (similar to Lia). So it’s sad people try and think someone sucks at singing because they don’t have Mariah Carey/Ariana Grande vocals. People are just obnoxious when it comes to singing.

I know this isn't about her dancing but I just want to say something quickly, ever since itzy debuted many people have criticized her dance skills, saying that she's the least best dancer in the group. Being the least best at something doesn't necessarily mean you're bad at what you're doing, but just the fact that people compared her to Yeji and Chae who are both main dancers says a lot. This happens way too often, and it's just because she mainly trained to become a singer which is why she's the main vocalist, in each comeback Lia has shown more and more improvement and proved that she has more talent on her pinky that these people do in their whole bodies

I wouldn't say the most unique but it does stand out alot, I think So-yeon, Minnie and Yuqi from (G)I-dle have voices more unique than Lia however Lia's tone is better in my opinion, her sultry, smooth vocal really elevates ITZYs vocal line and it might not be the best but among 4th gen girl groups but it is memorably and easily distinguishable. And before Midzys come for me, this is my opinion and ITZY are my alt group, my opinion comes from love and not hate.

Maybe why a lot of people think Lia can cannot sing is because female idols sing with a high-pitched voice the most and that Lia is best at deepest voice moments while her company doesn’t give her that. EVERYONE NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THAT LIA IS AN AMAZING SINGER. Sis be bringing in soul and her own flavor. Her voice is always recognizable to me because that’s how unique it is. I love when Lia does covers because she can really showcase her voice and add her own style to it. My favorite song of Lia’s vocals is Louder. Near the end when she says “What you’re waiting for.
