@@HartRaver Nope Belgium New Beat was famous for copying others but in a lesser amateur way. DFX was a copy of The KLF - What Time Is Love? (Pure Trance 1) btw. Which copied Ann Clarke. But only the synth part. Liaisons D tried to copy the phat stabs of famous producer Claudio Donato (behind DFX) but it sounded thin as you can hear in this video. Also the lyrics where cut and paste from DFX. You buy this record for the other side: Future F.J.P.

@@Madrrrrrrrrrrr Back in the 80s and 90s things were a lot more lax and people would do covers or remixes of other people's works without any issue. It wasn't only done for monetary gain but also to prolong mixes with already known melodies but given a slightly new coat of paint :)
