As a fellow introvert, Liam is the type of friend we love cos he knows to riff and take the lead and get through these encounters - protects and doesn't judge your mate for not being talkative.

Liam deserves more respect. One of the most success artists in Britain and just releasing a new album yet all journalists ever ask him is 'have you spoken to Noel?' and 'gotta ask but is Oasis getting back together?' .... Yawn it's a bit if an insult when you are trying to get on with your life and do something else

@@lucasm3879 and yet somehow, he never made it to #1. I'm not saying that charting is a reflection of quality, but rather pointing out that a member of the Roses finally got there. It's crazy that neither the band nor any of their post-Roses projects ever made it to #1 on the single or album charts until 35 years after the debut.
@lucasm38792 ай бұрын
@@vanishing_girl Yeah fair point. Like you say it’s not really a mark of true greatness though, especially when bands like Shed Seven have recently had one! Ian Brown’s solo career, especially up to his greatest hits in 2005 was superb, really original, forward facing music. I’m a big fan of Squire’s work with the Roses, especially the pre Second Coming era, but outside of that he’s been a bit retro and uninspired for me.

i didnt pay much attn to oasis in their day & now with the youtube platform blasting all things connected to your interests at you, i started following the gallager's story, like lots of other young aged success stories, can be fascinating. my knee jerk reaction to Liams antics were unsavory at best. but ive come to admire his ability to look in the mirror, self-evaluate & make what changes to himself he & probably loads of others felt he needed to make. im guessing that can be extremely difficult & lots of us, in his shoes, would be far worse, as oasis's lead singer & as noels brother. i've had lots of huge asshole moments in my life, add loads of success at the age he was at? it would be huge asshole x 45,654. 🤨 ill take the cash, keep the fame. Good on Liam, i hope he keeps swinging, his solo stuff is as good, if not better. anybody can be a "rockstar", 'tis much better to be the song smith he's become. & think about this too, if he had'nt played his part, in, im guessing regrettably, in the destruction of oasis, he may never have been able to get where he's at..
