The flames symbolises Hell. Liam is headed straight there and Sherlock was ready to go to Hell with him. But as Sherlock caught him, and embraced him, telling him to live, that the both of them should live, the flames dispersed. Sherlock is his angel, his salvation, his light in the darkness. And the fact that we don't see them hit the water, makes it feel like Sherlock whisked him away.

This scene is so special to me on a personal level. I was at a point in my life where I wanted to end it all. And Sherlock's little "speech" to Liam, when he said "Live, Liam!" and when he said "Living may hold nothing but bitterness for you, but the world you're changing will be a world worth living in", "You can see that same future for yourself", I felt very moved by it. At the time I was also making many changes in my life to pull myself out of the mess I was in, but I was full of doubt, wondering if I could actually pull it off. So hearing that exact line, made me think that the life I was changing was worth living. Also the fact that I had a dear friend and family members who I know would jump after me if that same scenario happened in real life, knowing I was cherished by people, all those factors combined, made me feel stronger and more at ease. I am very fortunate that I have such support in my life, and if anyone reading this is going through that, just know that I would hug you, even if I don't know you. I would give you a big hug and not let go until you felt better. So yes, sometimes we can get reminded of important things in a random anime scene. This particular scene reminded me of things I needed to think more about, that's for sure.

I had read like most of them because of that moriyati the patriot hit me differently I never even thought these characters would be this young and handsome 😂 and because of the original one I always hated Moriyati but it changed because of the manga and anime. I still can't believe this had ended 😔 but I gonna watch the stage play because you suggested 😊
