Great stuff! Very entertaining storyteller, but Alan was a very talented player back in the day, whose finest hour was his MOM performance in the England 2 - 0 game vs West Germany in '75. He really showed that night the player that he could have been for England, if his career had not be blighted by injury.

People forget how good Alan Hudson was and very few younger fans will have even heard of him. The fact is, Alan was one of the best players this country has ever produced, better than Beckham, Giggs, Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Hoddle, Bale and Gazza in my opinion.
