Back in the MySpace days, I remember messaging Fred asking how he played the solo in the live version of this song, and he actually took the time to explain it to me! I was so impressed, and I don't think he realized how much that meant to 16 year old me at the time.

For those that didn’t catch it, the riff at 2:32 is a musical quote of “Spin,” which is also my favorite TBS song. Such a tasty lick. Louder Now was such an excellent record, not just outpacing all of its contemporaries in alternative rock but standing out as one of the best pop adjacent records of the decade. SoDamnGood
