Liason 6/11 & 6/12/02 - Jason Beats Up Zander

Zander was a major idiot. He really needed to learn to think before he did anything stupid. It also made no sense to have Liz help Zander the way she did. This is the same guy who set Emily up for murder then kidnapped her. Why Liz would give Zander the time of day didn't fit her character.

They should have made someone other than Zander Cameron's father in 2003. It made no sense to have Liz so hell bent on saving Zander's life in 2002 when before she didn't even like him. If they wanted conflict between Liz and Jason I think they could have done better than putting Zander in between them. Then have her turn to Zander after the whole Rick thing. Hell they could have brought in Lucky for her to turn to after she left Rick in 2003 and it would have made more sense.

You don’t mess with Jason and get away with it besides I hate Zander. He was some big dumb jock who always thought he was a tough guy until he messed with the wrong person. Zander was absolutely nothing but some punk.

Zander was such a fool, it was embarrassing watching him try to act all tough and macho, while all the while he just looked ridiculous and laughable. He probably purposely coughed just to get Liz to see him so he could turn the situation around to benefit him.The writers who wrote him to get in between Jason and Liz, were not very character knowledgeable. They obviously did not get into depth of how each character thinks and would or would not act. They just tried everybody out with everybody.

Zander had it coming,he was so annoying, but i felt that the beatdown he received from Jason wasn't enough because even after this he was still talking trash. I was glad when they killed off his character good riddance.

Elizabeth was so pretty here. I actually used to LIKE Liz and Jason back then. Their relationship was so tender and innocent. The thing I DON'T like is how Jason didn't just tell her that Zander started pushing him, went for a swing and Jason beat him up as a result.

Because drama requires conflict. Life is messy and things do not always go as planned. People get involved with the wrong people. They make mistakes that screw up their lives. The writers know this. Happily ever after gets boring after awhile.

Alice Soefje that is why I love to see JaSam so unhappy. The writers just love JaSkank and I love to see them unhappy especially Sam. She deserves all the unhappiness she gets. She deserves payback from Shiloh for what she did to his father and I hope he gets it. Sam has never paid a dime for the crimes she committed when she was a con and it is time she did.

It seems like the writers were trying too hard to create drama here and the finished product ends up making very little sense. Even if Jason couldn't tell her the reason he beat up Zander, what was so difficult about acknowledging that he had a reason? That's all she was asking for.

During this time, GH was undergoing a shift in writers from Megan McTavish to Charles Pratt Jr. and Robert Guza Jr. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure the latter two were tweaking her writing here.

Because Brian Frons joined ABC daytime in 2002 and he preferred Jason and Courtney. One of the MANY ways in which Frons destroyed soaps. Even his Linkedin page has him bragging about destroying the ABC soap lineup.
