And this was proof that Elizabeth was willing to sacrifice her own life to be with Jason despite the danger. I was so glad how assertive she was here. It’s too bad that even when the Russians kidnapped Jake, Jason was the one who initiated no contact. We know Elizabeth would’ve been off for it. These two need to be together like yesterday!

Real talk, the fact he didn’t even think to call her says a lot. We all know he would’ve at least called Carly.. Liz was never a real factor in their “ love arc”….in comparison to his other love arcs. . He definitely buildt a life with Sam and even now maintained a strong friendship with Carly. Liz just wasn’t that ONE.

He always uses the danger of his life to walk away from Liz. It's true that that could have been Liz but it could also have been anyone else he loves. And not being with Liz isn't gonna prevent her from ending up in a hospital bed with a gun shot wound. I mean at this point who doesn't know she is important to him. In order to hurt him anyone of his enemies know that going after Liz would do exactly that so if he truly wanted to protect her he wouldn't have gotten involved with her in the first place. The thing I like most about Sonny is that he's more accepting of the risk of his life and that they can and will hurt the people he loves. He doesn't spend alot of time bemoaning that fact or allow it to keep him from what he wants. I think Jason needs a little more selfishness in his heart. Then again, here we go again with the soap opera logic. If he couldn't be with Liz cause that could have been her then y did he go back to Sam after this? What, her life isn't as important? Only if u have children is ur life worth anything? Not only does he go back to Sam he marries her. Once again these writers are just deliberate about keeping Liason apart with no actual good explanation behind it.

Jason loves Liz and feels the need to protect her. So marrying Sam and having a baby with her isn't anymore dangerous. Is Sam better equip to live as mobster's wife, than Liz? Liz has dealt with some crazy crap that Jason wasn't around to protect her from. Aiden soon after birth was kidnapped by Franco and given to Franco's mom. Lucky rescued Aiden, Jake was taken out of is stroller by a mentally unstable mother, while Sam watched it happen.Jason rescued Jake and brought him home. Let's not forget Sam hiring thugs to scare Liz and her kids at gun point. Jason discovered Sam's part and threatened her life. Jake has been run down twice, first time taken by Helena and returned years later, the second time he was hit by Edward who was having a heart attack. Never mind the threats to her own life from her husband Lucky as well as Ric. Mob related, not for the most part. The time has come for the excuses to stop and Jason and Liz be given a real chance at love.The writers need to write a compelling story line, which eventually puts Liz and Jason together.

The Cassadines are not safe either. All of Luke's family has been victims. It's interesting that he never pushed away Emily. His very beloved sister. But it was Emily who was a target to directly hurt Jason.

angela morales no; I hated how cold Sunny was here. It does make me wonder though, if Sunny could be so cold to Jason and Elizabeth about the life she would lead if she were to be with Jason, yet Sam who claims she can handle Jason‘s life can be done down, and they don’t share the same concern, makes me think that maybe, they don’t care enough about Sam to protect her the way Jason (I think Sunny has always been kind of cold to Elizabeth) card and wanted to protect her. The writers really missed from our care with not putting Liason together. That was supposed to say the runners really missed the mark.
