It's amazing that his brain is not able to process what could have been and imagine things that aren't there, but he does that with Elizabeth all the time and never with anyone else. Like you said, he imagined Elizabeth standing in the doorway and he told her he often wonders what it would have been like if she had gone away with him that time that he asked her to. Or when he would see a painting, he would immediately think of her. They're absolutely breathtaking. I hang on their every word.

I love how he pulled her into his arms and pretty much begged, "Let me help you. Please." It's almost heartbreaking to hear that hint of desperation and confusion in his voice. This situation is killing them both and they don't even realize they're in love yet! Oh, the horror of the eight years to come!

To this day, the scenes of Jason holding her gloves and finally realizing he wants Elizabeth are still my favorite.

This scene is probably one of my favorite Liason scenes ever....and at the end...I still remember watching this and thinking for a moment that Liz had come back. Poor Jason :(

This was pure magic, their chemistry was so unique and beautiful. But so much has happened between them that tainted their pairing, especially on Liz’s end. Doubt they’ll ever be together again.

"I won't come to u again, but if u come to me I won't turn u away." He says the exact same line to her years later when he breaks up with her for the umpteenth time when Michael got shot. Honestly the two of them have been the biggest obstacles to their love, and those dumb ass writers of course. If Liz isn't lying to herself about being in love with either Lucky, Zander, Ric and all the other 2nd bests that she's chosen over Jason, then Jason is staying away from her to protect her from his life. The both of them just needed to cut the shit and own up to their feelings and find a way to make it work. and honestly Jason could have left the mob in the beginning and done somethingelse. He always acted like there was nothing else for him to do. And if Sonny had truly cared about him he would never have allowed this guy who just woke up from a coma with no memory to make a decision about his life that would have such huge consequences when Jason didn't even know who he was much less to decide who he was gonna be. He didn't have the full capacity to understand what he was choosing and what it would mean. It's ironic that as much as he resented the Quartermaine's for trying to control him he gets a job where his only purpose is to do what he's told. Sounds like control to me.

This is probably my favorite Liason scene ever. It is awesome on so many different levels it isnt even funny. How people can say that he wasnt in love with her after seeing this scene is a mystery to me. Dear Lord why cant these two be written today by the same person who wrote this scene way back when?! I would be better able to deal with the angst if it was as well written as it used to be.

I believe that is why Jason and Liz compliment each other so much. What compliments them is also their downfall. They both have a high sense of loyalty. No matter who mistreats them (Jason with Sonny/Carly, Liz with Lucky) they still remain loyal to them because they cling on to the time when those people was there for them. It is also the reason that these individuals have such a great say so in Liz/Jason's life.

Yes, the dialogue now is total throwback to then.. Yes!..Luck isn't father material, he expects Liz to be Laura handle everything..but that drove Laura nuts! Liz needs to be happy & she's definitely happy w/Jason..

I still hate that the writers did this to Liason. They still were trying to get LL2 magic started, but LL2 will never be the same now that J. J. left the show.

Yeah, I agree w/you...that scene w/Liz & Kate kinda serves as foreshadowing..I see Sonny/Kate on the MOMA board talking Liz into going back to art, less Liz at GH, & more Liason w/the kids..LOL I can dream?

OK -- Liz continually has to lie to Lucky to keep him happy. She can't really be herself around Lucky. However, Liz never really feels the need to lie to Jason (the Jake lie was really about everyone else wanting Lucky to be the father). She can just be herself around Jason. So let's see...she should be with Jason. He's better for her.

I very much agree, she's a ppl pleaser & too afraid to hurt others. I also see her intentions were good w/the lie, to avoid hurting Luck/Spam, but compared to other characters her lies are pretty forgivable.

ITA! The original Lucky (JJ) was a great love story with two great actors. But this new Lucky (and GV, the present one) are awful and I love Jason and Liz together. They are perfect and I wish they would give them more of a s/l together now.
