What's interesting if you understand Swedish (which I know you don't) Is that they released this as a double album, where they sang the entire album in swedish too, but the lyric is a BIT different, because it wouldn't rhyme if directly translated.

I noticed that they did duel releases which I thought was amazing, lol. I know swedish/english translates slightly different too. They are very creative.

@@DravenReactions It sounds a bit different, and some texts needed to be changed... so the lyric IS different, but I think the story of the Swedish Empite from start to finish is well represented in this album.

I prefer the swedish versions on all their songs, but the english version on Caroleans Prayer and The lion from the North to me is better.

it feels so extrange to listen to the song without Dominium Mar Baltici as the intro (the actual song has an intro that is actually another song, same thing as "Diary of an unknow soldier" and "The Lost Batallion")

Carolus Rex covers som eof the most important events of Sweden's age as a great power. All of the album's songs are recorded in both english and swedish, except for the last one, which is only in swedish. You should check out the swedish versions of the songs aswell, the content changes a little in some songs, so try to find lyric videos with translations

Great reaction! 👍😊 The 16:th (Sunday) I saw Sabaton live for the first time, in Oslo, Norway. (Weekend vacation with the familly. I'm actually from Sweden). Hell of an awesome show!! 🤘😁 They played this song in Swedish, aswell as "Carolus Rex". Fun fact, though, is that Gustavus Adolphus was never king over the parts of Sweden (south) where I come from. We belonged to Denmark at that time😏.

This is SUCH a great song, and as a swede it just gives me insane goosebumps. It is very "unswedish" to feel pride about your country, and as it is now it's very infected with right wing people and immigration. But this album, and this song very much, makes me feel very patriotic and proud over our little country. Back then we weren't more than about 2 million people, and now we're somewhere around 10 million total.
