I am from North India, live in Australia, had stopped bursting crackers for the last 8-10 years, in fact, pretty much had stopped doing much on Diwali but this Diwali I made sure my neighbourhood knew its Diwali. My house looked like it was celebrating a big festival and I ended up dressing for the occasion after years, enjoyed it a lot, thanks Liberandus and wokes you made me realise how much fun our festivals are. I am from Gurgaon. I was never fond of bursting crackers and I didn't even burst a single cracker for the last 4 years. But his time I had to do it. So my Diwali went great. In the morning I did some cleaning of our house and then went to Gaushala. After that I did all the preparations for Diwali Pooja. Then I gave Milk and Roti to all 4 stray dogs of my locality. Then did Pooja. And then 🔥🎆. Dhua utha dia poora. So that was my Celebration for Diwali. 🚩🕉️

I heard a talk, just two days before Diwali, about how July 4th fireworks doesn't create pollution in North America and how it has been a propoganda to put our Hindi festivals down. I was not bursting crackers from past 7 yrs due to various reasons one of which was pandemic and etc. But this time I don't know why but, an fire ignited in me I traveled 45 kms to hosur from Bangalore at night 10.00 p.m in bike to buy crackers for 4k rs ( whole sale) reached home at 1.00 a.m midnight and bursted crackers for next whole day with family and cousins. My inspiration was when my niece was on a zoom meeting with her teacher and I was listening to her, before keeping the phone teacher said children remember do not burst crackers and wished happy Diwali and my niece did not respond to her happy Diwali when asked she said crackers ke Bina bhi koi Diwali hoti hai Kya ??
