I'm hoping you wrote down your views after watching the first 5 minutes of the podcast. If not your comprehension skills are more sub par than your writing skills (which is kinda horrible with due sympathy) . - There are plenty of people who try to connect religion and science. If you haven't come across any then my friend the rock you are living under must be a very cosy one - They are letting the religion be ,but if by letting the religion be you mean there should be no criticism of ancient texts because they are ancient and full-proof , you need to learn more acceptance . - You can object to science, that's how it evolves .The beauty of science is you can disprove any theory with sufficient evidence and that's why it should be the yardstick for facts not any religious texts that is claimed by many as holy grail. - Religious texts do create the base and it should be respected for that but methodologies used then were vague and totally imaginary with almost zero evidence. - There was no modern science when they created Vedas because modern science is far more complicated and evidence based , exactly why the Vedas can't be treated as a one Stop solution . - If you are too blinded then the criticism shouldn't affect you and if you wanted to appreciate your religious texts for the right reasons then criticism is the stepping stone for that. -As discussed in the podcast which you clearly heard with a shit ton of bias , science used to be a part of philosophy and philosophy used to be a part of religion so it actually makes sense . Ancient texts are testimonials to the imagination and intelligence of our civilization through 1000 years but to say it is right in every aspect is plain denial and ignorance. Two people discussing things which they don't have at all a willing to learn and discuss off the podcast given their poseur habits to just appear on the youtube and sound intellectual amongst the people who have even lesser time to read things (primarily those who are liking this cacophony). Since, religious ideas are much above their comprehension (esp Hinduism), they have done a great disservice to scientific arguments as well. Really disappointing. I found multiple flaws in their arguments which gave me some cognitive relief to not take them much seriously again on such topics. I like Kushal for bookmarking those articles which he barely use and apply but leave for others to have a glance upon. Thanks!
