Liberica coffee plants How are they different from Arabica and Robusta

I got liberica coffee for the first time this week. The taste was unique and there is jack fruit sensation on its aroma. Unfortunately, to purchase this coffee is a difficult thing due to only few of Indonesian farmer plant this liberica coffee.

I dont think bees will come coz of caffiene, as i remember, caffiene is the coffee tree’s soldier to fight insects, the reason why Arabica coffee is suceptible to insects due to its lesser caffeine contain as compare to robusta. Liberica if am not mistaken, has been a substitute during when arabica trees get affected with illnesses, and remember when Philippines is the number one supplier of coffee beans specifically for Liberica in America since they grow liberica perfectly.

Arabica coffee is different to Liberica in many ways - the most noticeable of which is the size. This tree can grow up to 19 m high, with huge leaves and large cherries.

Liberica is much more fruity than Arabica. If it is not processed correctly the fruity notes quickly turn into sour lactic taste so it must be handled with care by the farmers and millers
