Great job. Thanks for taking the time to save people a lot of time in the future. I actually had the opposite thing happen to me. I opened my safe and it wouldn't lock again. That was odd because I didn't think the electronics had anything to do with the locking of the safe, just the release. Apparently, I was wrong, because I changed the battery and the safe locked once I cycled the locking mechanism again. I don't open and close my safe too often so I was concerned when it wouldn't lock. Thankfully, changing the battery fixed it.

Add another to your "saved me" list. Greatly appreciated! 1) took off the battery ring 2) detached the battery 3) pulled the keypad off the safe 4) unplugged the white wire from the safe to the keypad 5) held down each & every button on the front of the keypad for 3 seconds 6) reattached the white wire to the back of the keypad 7) reattached the keypad to the safe door 8) plugged the battery back in 9) entered my code 10) opened the safe door without issue

I cannot get that keypad ring off in order to change the battery

This didn't work for me. My battery was going out since my code wouldn't work. I replaced the battery and my code still didn't work. I followed your steps and still wouldn't work. Any help would be appreciated!!

Liberty told me battery disconnected from motherboard they sent me a new keypad and I’m still locked out did all the trick
