If only the champs today could have been able to dance for the big crown of all againsed Carrie Ann Martin and Bill Donahue in the 75-76 era. Only Bill is alive today but Carrie is still here in spirit and studied by ever so many in her dance contest paired with Baltimore’s Bill Donahue. They met on a flight from Washington Dulles to LAX I 75. She being a stewardess and Bill studying a foreign language at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey Ca. They were by far the best dance pair some say ever. Man we’re they great.

It is. Even when you're not a pro and it's not in a competition. I've had a couple of those dances, and once it was with a young man young enough to be my grandson, and I know he felt the same, because his mom told me a little later the same night that he came to her and told her how great our dance was.

Maya M Jack and Jills are a special form of west cost swing competitions where they don’t know who their partners will be (some require you can’t dance with your usual competition partner) and don’t know the song choice.

This is improvised. They are playing with the lyrics of the songs and they are so good it looks choreographed, but I don't believe they even know which song or partner they are about to dance with.
