The British Single Award at the BRITs 2003 was presented by Robin Gibb to Liberty X

When Liberty X debuted they got crucified by the press they were mocked they were called the "flopstars" due to the fact that the band was made up of the 5 singers who didn't make the cut for Hear'say. The scary thing was that they could've been dropped because although their first single "Thinking it Over" performed well in the charts making the top 5 their previous single "Doin It" didn't do so well peaking at no.14. But "Just A Little" the Entrapment song as the video was based on the movie Entrapment happened and it was massive won them this Brit Award and stuck 2 fingers up at the critics who called them "flopstars" and gave them the last laugh of Hear'say who imploded big time. Also it was the 5th most played song in noughties and used in MoneySupermarket adverts in 2015. Originally this song was supposed to penned for Anastacia but she declined it because she felt that the song didn't suit her thus Anastacia's decision was Liberty X's benefit in more ways than one.

Wow the previous year, the nominations were great but here only Liberty X had a great song. Well deserved, it was an awful year for British pop music judging from the other nominees.

Yeah, surprising tbh considering there was a lot of great songs that came out in 2002.
