Whatever you do, don't stop making videos please. I just found you after a few years of doing shirts very casually. I wish I'd seen you first. You have helped me tremendously. Not just this video, many others you have as well. You explain very well and are non-condescending. You're a natural.

Good information, I do pretty much the same registration as yours with one exception. I find it easier to register the top of the shirt collar instead of the bottom, so I would come down three inches and put a mark and pull the top of the shirt collar up to the line to register it for the print and go down five inches for the top of the print. Using the bottom is more of a guess as you can not see the mark once you pull the shirt over it. Not a big deal just maybe a little easier to stay consistent. Thanks for the time you take to make these. I agree if you can't be helpful a comment is not necessary.

I love the message at the end! If someone thinks they've arrived and the learning stage is over, they're slippin and trippin. Pursuing better ways to hone your craft is the path to be on. Printing veterans can learn a lot from going back to basics and rethinking what they do and why they do it.

I am new to screen printing and just came across your videos tonight. Thank you for explaining this so well. I knew to come down 4" and over 2-4" but did not know how to align the print right there. Is it on the line? Under it? Over.. You explained it very well. Thank You! I do have one-maybe 2 questions. Do you have a video on making the actual registration marks? I assume the marks are 3/4" above the design to align with your mark on the board? When you place the print film on the screen to burn it, how far down from the aluminum do you bring it? 4 inches??

thank you for watching!!! Excellent video!!! My job today to do!! First time to print with my students. Have you made a video about making the pallet level so when the screen comes down the space between the screen and pallet is small? I hope that makes sense.

Yes, that's called off contact, we control that by adjusting the screen it self not the pallet or platen.

I have a 6 color 4 platnum comming in the mail and took a few K loan to get entry level. Im looking to start making shirts and have put in hours of reserch with youtube and articles. First I must say you cover details very thoroughly, I appreciate that. My question is what brand shirt shold I be selling in my first year. I want to make a quality product and a $8 price point before seeing this video. I was considering around $4 per blank, or should I scale back on quality, go Gildan $2.54, and aim for lowest price point?
@LibertyGraphicDesigns4 жыл бұрын
no, stay at the $8.00 range and go for the gildan 5000, 2000, as a "GOOD" then gildan 8000 for "BETTER" & next lever 3600 and balla canvas 3000 for "BEST" at $1.00 increments, and finally, NEXT LEVEL 6210, BELLA CANVAS 3413 & DISTRIC for "top of the line" at $14.00+. good luck and let me know if have any more questions, Thank you for the support!.

I'm about to start printing and had a couple of questions about shirt size vs print size, especially when it comes to a vertical print. Let's say I wanted to print a word vertically down the pocket side of a shirt. Would you have to get a larger / longer pallet for a 7X and would I have to create bigger lettered screens for that size?

No entendi como alinear para el back print. Dices marque media pulgada del neck line y ahi inicia la impresion? no esta muy cerca del cuello?
@LibertyGraphicDesigns6 жыл бұрын
