In 2017, the Cologne Male Voice Choir (Kölner Männer-Gesang-Verein, KMGV) celebrated its 175 year anniversary. It was founded in 1842 to raise money to continue building the Cologne Cathedral. This Cathedral was the backdrop for the choir's grand gala concert on September 17, 2017. 3,500 visitors attended the open-air concert and were treated to "the most beautiful melodies from opera & operetta" - accompanied by the WDR radio house orchestra and gifted with solo performances by star tenor Juan Diego Flórez and soprano Eleonore Maguerre.

Toll, daß ich dieses Video beim KMGV entdeckt habe, Flórez hatte meine Blumen, die ich ihm übergab an die Kollegin weitergeben, ganz Gentleman, er war großartig, danke Ihnen für das Video, werde ich immer in bester Erinnerung behalten 🎵🎵🎵
