When you said Morpheus after showing that symbol, the first thing I thought of was King Morpheus from one of my favorite childhood cartoons called Little Nemo. He held a key with that symbol on it, and no one was supposed to open the door that it was to. The door also had that symbol on it, and it was supposed to contain some sort of shadowy evil spirit. Have you seen that movie? Perhaps that's what brought Morpheus to mind. If you're curious about Little Nemo, I do believe I saw it when browsing Crunchyroll and maybe even Hulu.
