I hope you see this comment, in high school I saw a video of yours and it really inspired me to follow my passion. I love construction and all things design. I had never seen a women doing that kind of thing before. I’m now in university for Engineering. ❤ 😊

It's funny that you mentioned 2017 April. In 2017 I left my corporate job in the Lumber Industry to become a full time farmer on the family farm that I grew up on. This was a great accomplishment, since it was a personal goal of mine. However, I was a little bored during the winter months, so I turned to an old hobby of mine, "Woodworking". I started watching woodworking videos on KZbin. The first two videos I watched was one of Jay Bates and the other was of you making an Axe Handle. The fact that you showed your mistake during that video impressed me so much that I subscribed to your channel instantly. During those winter months of 2017, I watched all of your videos. ( 2 or 3 ever day.) The videos that you made inspired me to start my own part - time Woodworking KZbin Channel. I started recording my first video in March 2017 thanks to you! I have enjoyed watching your videos and being a "Fan" ever since. As you build fun and interesting projects that are extremely well researched. I'm also HAPPY to think of you as an ONLINE FRIEND now April. I hope that's not too weird. ;) In either case, THANKS for all that you do April, and for INSPIRING me to start my own KZbin Channel !!! :)

I always like your out of the box thinking for making life easier. Not just your platform but anchoring 2x4s to the wall for support. I feel like a lot of diy'ers would avoid that because of having to fix the holes. But in the long run that sturdy platform will save so much headache as well as be safe plus you're going to be doing drywall and paint work in the end anyway. So a few extra holes for improved safety and efficiency is well worth it. I am rather jealous of the amount of space you have as your jobsite as I'm currently doing a full gut job on a 50sqft bathroom. Not much material usage but barely enough room to turn around in and i still need many of the same tools as a your project lol. Lots of trips up and down stairs to cut materials and also using my daughter's bedroom as tool storage at times.

My wife and I love your videos. You have given us many ideas for outdoor projects. Some I hope will take place over the next couple of years. Last year, we completed a stank tank pool with a wrap around deck and privacy fence. I still need to complete the skirting around the deck, but the right idea hasn't hit me yet. Keep the videos coming. Take care.
