We usually give Kali a lot of credit for being the strongest color back in the day. She even killed An Arbiter in her last moments... But Roland, holy dog, sometimes I forget the man went on a rampage against the entire city and even destroyed HALF of the southern branch of The Middle. If the Fingers are truly on the same level of Corps (As Binah and others say), then that means that Roland basically killed thousands of people in some months before Iori finally recruited him, people, that are supposedly as strong as The Proxies, the elite of The Index. And just in case someone is curious, Roland's third phase sprite in his boss fight is labeled as "EgoRoland", so, yeah, the entity we face in Roland's reception final stage, is The Black Silence manifesting his EGO. In my personal opinion, Roland is on the same level as Kali but is yet unable to fully control the EGO manifestation.

Honestly I’d argue during his reception he more or less pseudo distorted than manifesting his ego tbh since the others who manifest their ego (excluding Philip) was able to pseudo or fully overcome their weaknesses and trauma but Roland didn’t fully overcome it and let it go until after the receptions though yeah if he did manifest his Ego it would be incomplete and because during the receptions he manifest into the things that he saw in the past which makes him traumatized I guess (Smoke war creature, somehow manifest a version of Angelica during the Blood red night fight) during his fourth phase he literally uses “Conflict” and “Agony” as a combat page

You know(if i am not wrong with my lore-fu) , is more impresing once one realise that before the pianist, roland only was know as the "misterious"(see down) fixer from charles ofice. And the one know by the title of black silence was angelica because the silencing effect of the black gloves... And the only reason the city mistake him for angelica was thanks to the capability of his mask, that make him "blurry" and hard to percive.

My guy, Roland is awesome and he’s in my top 3, but he never manifested EGO. He distorted, but since he was part of the library, they just had to beat him up to restore him back to normal. Think of it like a crutch- because he’s a librarian, and thus a part of Angela’s EGO, him manifesting an “EGO” was more like how the Library allows abnormality EGOs and Geb to use her EGO. At the end of the day, that was more of a glimpse of what could have been, and what was suppressed by the gang(tm) than him going full ape mode. (I’m saying he was empowered by the library’s light) It’s no joke that he’s strong, and managed to take down half the southern branch of the Middle- but he had several things going for him there. First, he had Angelica’s gloves, second, he had his mask, and third, he didn’t just do it all in one night. My guy didn’t fight an entire army in one day. He raided them, subsidiaries and then officials and then maybe one or two ringleaders. But the mask made it so no one could really counterattack him as nobody knew who he was, so they couldn’t actually prepare/hunt him. It’s like, you come back to one building and everyone’s dead with the only evidence being a single survivor who can only say “some guy walked in and started blasting”. Meanwhile, Kali destroyed, what was it, like 2-3 proxies and a messenger of the index in one fight? And in lobcorp she slew 3 claws, tons of escaped abnormalities AND managed to take down a respected arbiter of the Head? That’s a huge leap above goons and still far above even half of the top dogs in one Finger. Lastly, I think it’s important to remember fixers aren’t all tailored to be murdermachines that berserk around and kill shit. Blue Reverb is a fork-tongued scumbag, but he’s got many connections and knows how to make people do what he wants. Iori is always one step ahead of her opponent, Kali is actually just a berserker with the whole “courage to protect” thing as well, and Roland/Angelica (black silence) was most likely something of a “Hunt down the Freeman” sort of deal, where they/her/he excelled at raids and coordinated/versatile missions (evidenced by the round table weapons and the mask being perfect for leaving no loose ends). Shi is assassination, Zwei is neighborhood watch, etc etc. “Strongest fixer” goes to berserker types generally (like Kali), but “Most Versatile” is reserved for those like Iori and the Black Silence. Sorry for the TED talk.

@@friendist9323 That’s up for debate considering it’s all just an inference, since Kali is able to manifest her ego, and has the sword, she gains a huge buff but take that away from here and she’s probably a Index proxy strength. Roland doesn’t have anything like that besides the mask and gloves which really aren’t all that special. He has mastered the use of almost every weapon which gives him advantages in battles to exploit any weaknesses. Kali uses raw strength while Roland uses skill is basically what I’m saying.

@@ChoppaHunnid Likewise with the whole inference thing. Kali survived in the worst district not by raw strength, but by being smart and lucky. Learning how to use different weapons is not comparable to the exponential growth she had to go through. She also became a color before getting her EGO, since she couldn’t have manifested it before meeting Carmen. They’re both impressive, but one’s “legendary” and the other is “infamous”. Also, you write off tools like the gloves and the mask way too easily. It’s like saying “Tanya is the best because she doesn’t need weapons! She’s super versatile!” when every little bit of equipment counts. The nuovo fabric, the index swords, the thumb’s guns, etc. Even the Claw, what are they without the serums? Best case they’d be at grade 1 or 2 level. Roland without his gloves gets instantly mauled by yun’s office. Roland with good gear becomes a great combatant. It’s not complicated.

No cringy catchphrases or vocally shouting your skills (particularly your last vid where roland shouts "furuoso") Love the way that you gave pinches of humour which was pretty smooth. Also loved the part where roland begins to manifest his distortion whilst both of them are complimenting each other very nicely done And lastly the battle phases, commended you to the fact that you downloaded mods/edited his key/combat pages for roland (noticed this when he has 3 counter dices and more than 400 hp, which means that not only did you download the "Boss Roland as Book" but you also downloaded his "pre-Black silence pages" mod where he has a counter dice in his Zelkova W. page) Dunno if youve also downloaded his other mod where he as "the twleve fixers" key page, which makes sense since he is the leader of the 12 All in all keep up the good work

Thank for the criticism and comment. The key page is just straight from the vanila game. I use "Cheater Toolkit" which have a funtion to give you all Key pages even bosses one. I forgot that i also have "Solo Patron Extra" which give Roland pages some buff, which include the boss version. I also don't want to give Roland twelve fixer or any passive that wasn't necessary since it was already a one sided battle. The only passive he have is -Orlando: The page is buggy so this is require for Furioso to work. -Memento: The EGO mod. -Commited: Buff Kali by giving her +2 speed dice and reduce her pages cost by 1.

i still find it amuseing that the kali we fight is still not at her full strength, as angela states and warns us before we fight her, it is the red mist, but only a memory of it brought about by the power of the library, keyword here being that it is only a memory!, hell the lore of kali the red mist is that in order for her to actually be taken down, it took a arbiter, and most if not all of the abnormalitys of lobotomy corperation thrown at her in waves as well to finally exhaust her enough she was dieing.... and then got turned into a robot, dispite that, she STILL took the abnormalitys down along with binah rolands a monster succeeding the legend of kali, but full power kali was just built different

What Angela said: "There's a few things the Red Mist left behind, And i can use them to invite the Red Mist in her former glory as our guest." Memory wasn't mention at all. Angela ask about her memory was only checking if she invited the correct Red Mist. Even if it's just a memory, it would also contain Binah memory who fought her directly. So it would be accurate. If you can use the actual boss Red Mist page, she would easily solo everything we fight all at once even without abnormality page. I would say it pretty accurate.

@@kurtisprime6294 the implecation there is that the red mist that was summoned was as strong as there memory of her(whos memory is not clarifyed well) or at least matched up to what they remember, consdering this was for them(or at least angela who controled the library summoning powers) litterly like over 100000 years ago there memory would more then likely have either faded, or been misremembered, beyond that, if it was angela who was summoning her, from what she remembered, her memory of kali was a memory from someone who had never actually fought kali or was in depthly familiar with her strength at her peak, outside of hearing about how she was the strongest, and seeing her occusionally deal with a danger to the staff,beyond that, the kali that was summoned was NOT the kali that held off and defeated binah and the abnormalitys, as that was kali at the very end of her time at lobotomy corp and right before she became gebura, im not sure exactly when the kali they summoned was from, but it seemed to be shortly after she was given the mimicry sword and some time after she learned to use her ego, but not at the end, theres alot that addes up to say the kali that was summoned was strong as hell, but also nothing saying she was summoned at her strongest, especially so considering her background lore had her beating a undefined amount of unclassified abnormalitys, for all we know, she took down multible aleph level and ever waw-zayan level abnormality before ending off by defeating binah, whos argueibly aleph abnormality threat level lore wise

Unrelated But there a few strange thing about Roland, I wonder: - Roland hasn't die so his decrease stats while we use him mean that the boss we fight is him actually trying. - How tf did Roland fought against 7 distortions (the other 4 fought our Librarians) and defend Angela at the same times by himself (the other Keter Librarians are in the light). - with all that and die to Finn and grade 9, like the Gloves only store weapons and remove sound, The mask only block perception, They don't increase strength or resistance. But he is now bulletproof with them on.

The thing is, Roland IS NOT the black silence (thecnically), the black silence is her wife, the gloves and title are hers, and the names of the cards are the companies that she worked in, that is why in the fight against the black silence, Angelica uses the same pages WITH the same names, but she is the one in the cards drawings

You can reduce the attack animation delay with code, The mod I used make the attack faster, It take a few steps like Extract the mod Dll with DnSpy. Reduce the delay. Then rebuilt the file. there are mod like "200% Furioso" that make it faster.

@@skell6134 It mostly luck if your three dice page role more than her AOE. First phase use a defensive team to stall till she reach emotion lvl 5 so she doesn't get full light regen when emotion lvl is max. It fine to lose to the first floor but make sure to trigger her ego before you lose. Recommend using Binah for the second phase. -Her Pillar page delete melee dice so save it to clash against Vertical slit. -Just spam range attack with binah as much as possible preferably one-sided. -Fairy is really OP and deal ton of damage. If Kali have a little HP left just use a full range floor and shot her dead on the first turn.

Unless you can code modded battle the only other way to stop abno buff is locking emotions lv at 0 but That doesn’t work on Kali. I forgot if there any mod that give opponent abno buff as well. Opponent do get buff from emotions lv: +1 power for the red page, +1 damage for green page.
