Heard about Dino saying go read Distortion Detective yourself and OH BOY *fingers crack* anyways spoilers alert, this will give context who the Udjat is and who this Deyvat person is. DISCLAIMER, I didn't read anyone's comments if they did already make an overview of Deyvat so take this as a grain of salt. I've read Distortion Detective till its cancellation but that was only uptil a few months ago. My knowledge now is pretty limited so all I can give is a short idea what the Udjat is and why they are in the library. ANYWAYS! The Udjat. Are a fixer office by name, as they are more of a mercenary group for one person only. This person who manages the Udjat is called Dias. Udjats are die-hard mfs. THEY WILL WILLINGLY DIE IF NEEDED, NO EMOTION IS SEEN WHEN IN MISSIONS. You're an Udjat and your 30-40 year old something masks shortstack of a superior tells you to die for the sake of stalling time, SURE, YOU'RE AN UDJAT FOR DIAS, AND YOU DO IT WITH NO HESITATION. The Udjats are a quiet bunch, mostly orphans and children from the City raised and brought upon to be an Udjat. These people with that kind of upbringing would want to repay their benefactor willingly, if dying is needed, they will do it. The City is a harsh place, and the children are very thankful for Dias closest to parental figure or mother for these poor souls. The Masks contain a piece of high-tech stuff the allows them to talk to others with the mask and identify(?) them In the Distortion Detective's initial characters, we are introduced with Moses and Erza. Moses is a Grade 5 Fixer while Erza is a Grade 2 one. Also if you're wondering who that yellow guy was in the video, he's called Vespa, but I'm not going to add anything else more than that. Moses and Erza are past Udjat members. I forgot the reason why they are cut out from the Udjat but, basically The Udjat are ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT FIGURES OF THE SMOKE WAR, (Dias)HAVING INCITED IT WITH AYIN AND BENJAMIN. They also employed R corp, and if i remember correctly this was said in Maxim's page that Dias was part of the reason that made R corp desperate to get into the Library, lest they die from failing to do so. Moses is a mommy. I mean a war veteran, she was an officer of the Udjat and commanded numerous members, during the smoke war, they were left in a n unfavorable situation which caused a funny thing to happen to her, PTSD. Also Erza was part of the Udjat soldiers under Moses. If you wonder why Erza is a higher fixer compared to Moses, it would have to be because she willingly stayed on that rank, though her abilities surpass that, and Erza is essentially a child to her, despite her ranking, Erza sees Moses as her guardian and parent... I think, I think i stayed too far from what I was initially sharing. But yeah. Now, I'm not sure if I remember wrong, but I'm pretty sure Udjats were brainwashed. Moses and Erza being exceptions, they were the sole surviving Udjats that Moses was fighting in the Smoke War To sum everything up or TL:DR. Udjat is a mercenary group under Dias. Dias caused the Smoke War. Udjat were used in the smoke war. The Distortion Detective novel, narrates Moses and Erza, as past members of the group, they have close ties to Dias. Dias is akin to a mother. Udjats are EXTREMELY LOYAL TO DIAS, no orders are disobeyed if they are your superiors. If there is anything I missed, please point it out, these are mostly stock knowledge opened as a can from how many months ago I read them, I think around late April I read it, and everything so fourth just snippets. READ THE NOVEL PLEASE!! READ DISTORTION DETECTIVE, ITS SO FUN, LIKE YOU'RE SO HUNGRY IN A POCKET DIMENSION THAT YOU'RE WILLING TO EAT A HUMAN ARM FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR SURVIVAL KIND OF FUN(Wont summarize Moses part, since thats separate, so read it if you'd like)

Spoilers I always wondered why the Udjat and Dias have all these Egyptian influences, only to realise that Moses is literly a mirror of the Biblical Moses, who started of as a respected follower and friend of the Pharao, who after realising the corruption of the System, rebelled and freed his People (aka Ezra).

Justice for my boy Dong-hwan, he is a grade 1 fixer, owns a restaurant AND is a drip god. on a more serious note, just his small grin and the idle pose give off such a strong vibe of his character I'm shocked he's got no real story yet. if someone told me he was going to be a part of the main story but got cut I would 100% believe them. he's just too cool to be a jobber you beat up for some cards and never see again.

Dong-hwan is one of these characters whose name pops up in my mind every once in a while. Not only because he's a grade 1 fixer (Thus a powerhouse), but also because of his name... Dong-hwan sounds like "Don Juan", a spanish word that refers (very roughly) to a womanizer.

honestly general invitations are very underrated by how good some of the keypages are and the passives too too bad when you find out about general you might try it and invite some canard or urban myth guests before completely forgetting about them and moving on in the game. You might even forget general invites even exist and play the whole game not knowing there are geniuenly good passives from said general invites (thats me after playing through the whole game not knowing that i can get strong passives from general invites and missing out on dong-hwan the grade 1 wing man)

I figured out to fast how GI works. So, I collected all books before beating [CENSORED]. As for me, pages ranked are: 5. Dong Hwan's Key Page is worth fighting, also some blood and big numbers on some dices. 4. Hanafuda is only reason to beat this reception, cause her page is must jhave for throwing builds. 3. Blade Legacy and Kim may be somewhat usefull till the end of the agaim. Also, dont forget tp claim their bones. 2. Steampunkers are also must have for endgame guess what build. Their pages dont spend smoke, but gain buffs based on its amount, so they are better than smoking faces. 1. Night Awls battle pages are very powerfull. Just powerfull.

Irina is my favorite guest because her cards and Keypage were very fun to play with, she is self sufficient, gives light to her team and spawns a mass attack when she is dying that heals her, and Final Stroke hits like a truck. They also seem to have contracts with R Corp, since I believe Pamela had an Insurance that cloned her body to give Pameli a body replacement.

@@namvutranngoc6945 Yeah, that passive is not the best, but I don't think it's horrible, it's still a free mass attack, at worst is a +1 Damage for Final Stroke. But the big reason to use her Keypage is Multiparty compensation, +1 light to all other allies is so good for long fights and also Policy Form since it removes debuffs. I just think she is neat, very flavorful for a guest and I would like to see them in Limbus someday.

Usually games only care about key characters and fill the ranks with fooder goons. Ruina however likes to fill their squads with dramatis personae, as often any story faction, regardless of relevance, has a trio (or more) of actual characters bouncing of eachother, and both early on and often late game, they outnumber the fodder goons in battle. Repeat the proccess 30 something times, and then you get a cast of Ruina's size. Still ~140 is no number to scoof at, as a reference Fire Emblem, another series with tendencies for large casts, swings from as low as ~75 in Echoes to as high as ~150 in Geneology. But looking at the small fries of those casts is such an enjoyable thing.

big fun fact about Bayard ! Reynaud is one of the fixers belonging to the charles office , same one angelica and roland belonged to. In the actual story of the knights , bayard is the magical horse belonging to reynaud so his character "taming" bayards office here is very fitting. Also , for bayards office itself , in some of their attacks you can see the shape of a horseshoe , another nod at his origin , their gimmick is also fitting as bayard being a magical horse was meant to represent a spirit of the wild , henceforth the fixers of this office go all out in a wild frenzy , ignoring self preservation (fragile on self) for more power (strength on self)

Something to add to Bayard's story is that Renaud is one of the Fixers of Charles Office, same one Roland, Astolfo, and Olivier were a part of. Bayard is also an important part of the Knight Renaud's story... as his magic horse. Specifically a gift from his brother Maugis, alongside his iconic sword Froberge. Honestly, I do hope we get to meet the other knights instead of just their silhouettes.

Small correction about the Bayard section: Renaud didn't take them in, nor did her join their office. Bayard had a friend (Maugris) Who was a part of Charles' Office, A legendary office made up of 12 elite grade 1 fixers who took on all sorts of requests and were led by someone called the captain, likely Charles. Maugris introduced Bayard to Renaud and Renaud solved their problems through words and sometimes ass kicking.

Project moon has confirmed that after Limbus we will see distortion detective made into a game and the story expanded upon so we will see more of the udjat there. We may also see them in Limbus if my theory about Limbus company wanting to become the new L corp is correct since in distortion detective Dias’s goal was pretty much summed up into becoming the head. Also a fun fact is Vespa(yellow dude in the cover) was an fixer who worked for N corp(yeah those guys who are the Catholic Church of the city) thus it confirms the fact Kromer and he goons are far more extreme compared to others in N corp. (tho if you read the book and wanna mention what they do to people who broke a Taboo pay close attention to the fact K corp also reacted extremely violently to a broken taboo and sent a grade 1 fixer and one that’s quite unique at that compared to the professional Vespa)

I haven't used him yet but I have seen that he only has 1 stagger threshold like N Meur so that's cool, I want more Tank ID's. I assume he's powerful though since he's a season 3 000 lol But is he as strong as R Corp? I wouldn't assume so, but style wise the artist went above and beyond for his uptie art in Pequod

@@DinoDave935 he sacrifices Rcorp's versatility for team synergy: every 1% of hp missing, he gains 1% damage up His s1 gives a fuckton of poise count, which he really needs his s2 gives him synergy with more bleed-specific teams, by giving poise based on bleed potency, and making him inflict up to **10** bleed count if he crits on his second coin His s3 is a 4 coin skill that inflicts more bleed the lesser his HP is, while also having the last coin do 50% more damage if it crits, while rolling respectably...and gaining 2 coin power and 1 power if you get to 6 envy resonance, making him a TRUE powerhouse. He is fucking INSANE, but also INSANELY fun, and competes with Rcorp meth bunny on teams where he can get his synergy going (either envy, poise or bleed teams, that is)

Slight correction when it comes to Jikan, he is most likely NOT the leader of the Rusted Chains, as when an Ally dies in his reception, he can say "Shit… Why did the boss send that wuss with me?", implying/stating that there's someone higher up the chain (heh) than Jikan in the syndicate. Of course, this could be a silly correction considering you could just mean "Leader of the group of people you fight" rather than ""Leader of the entire group as a whole", as you used similar wording for Allen when talking about the Night Awls, and he is absolutely not the leader of the Night Awls (maybe he the acting leader is after the actual Night Awls Leader got merc'd by the Thumb, but that was never stated)

It's a shame some of these fixers had such bad passives/key pages. I remember using most gold key pages from Star o/t City (except Bayard who was exclusive fodder for Gebura), but most of the earlier ones felt weaker than pages we already got from the story.
